Guest Tarrync
We arrived 2 weeks ago on a 457 visa, I have heard conflicting stories and information about getting tax relief for childcare. My son is 3 and I want to put him in Daycare as I want to return to work, Apparently the centre says I can get 50% rebate through my tax return at the end of the financial year or alternatively get 35 % off my weekly childcare fees and then only claim back 15% at the end of the year. Please can someone help me, as when I go on the family assistance or Centerlink website it doesn't help much?
TheRocks
On a 457 you don't get any childcare rebate, they have it confused with PR
