Accepted of my job offer

Just as an update I had a great week in Perth. I really liked the firm and team I will be working with. They spent 3 days with me in the office and showing me around Perth. I loved my kids school and I know they will like it here.

 

I told my wife's parents and mine last night. My wife's parents are really supportive. My parents reacted very badly with tears and anger telling me I am destroying the family and that I will be a failure. So we are not talking at the moment. Hopefully just the first step to acceptance.

 

So I'm starting the 457 visa now. A stressful 24 hours. Hopefully worth it.

Listen you guys have to think about yourselves and your family we have had similar reponses from my hubby's family they dont want to talk about our move, we have just returned back from Perth on a reccie and we fellin love with the Place and also saw how good the schools and work etc is!! Just go for it or you may regret it later on and dont let people/family spoil it for you!!! What part of Perth are you thinking of moving to and what school are your children going to?

I'm hoping to live in Yokine/Dianella area. I want to send the kids to a small Jewish private school Carmel School which is ranked 5th in the WACE tables. It's a really nurturing school and will suit my kids which can't take the pressure of their UK private schools.

 

My parents are starting to accept my decision now but are still going through a bereavement process. What are you going to do?
