Hi there, I am a wall and floor tiler from scotland UK in the process of migrating to wa on a 489 regional visa, I have been offered a job in my trade in Geraldton WA, I have tried researching this place on the net, and as far as i can see it looks beautiful, the job contract is roughly 6 months, then i will head to mandurah ,,,, can anyone please give me info on geraldton before i accept this offer......i Have a wife and 2 young kids aged 4 and 6....thank you,,, neil
  2. Hi mark, Me my wife and our 2 kids are due to arrive in perth in january. Im a wall and floor tiler, 25 years experience. We were looking to settle down baldives or round about there mate. Is it nice for families, schools and shops and stuff> my misses doesnt drive yet, so would need schools and stuff to be in walking distance..... Also, how is the work side of things mate, i see your a joiner, do you know any tilers and how work is.....thanks mate, neil

Hi there, sorry to butt in, im a wall and floor tiler from scotland coming to mandurah through my trade too....Heading over mid january, been looking at everything i can about mandurah and regional areas online...Its me my wife, wee boy 5, and wee girl 3, we too will be looking for a holiday let at first, how are you finding it?
  4. Hi darren, me and my family are heading over hopefully december( thats when our visas should be ready) its me, my misses and 2 young kids.. Ive been constantly searching estate agents for furnished properties, as we are not shipping anything over.. Seems hard to get anywhere furnished. We are going to settle south of perth in halls head, lakelands or meadow springs, where are you? i would really like to secure a house before we arrive, just to head straight to from airport, is this possible? or do we need to wait till we are there and go view places? hopefully you can shed a little light on this mate...cheers, neil
