oh zebradeb, you seem to still have loads to do in 6 days!!, I'd be completely freaking out by now lol. Last sat we got a surprise leaving party sprung on us, we we're gob smacked. Thought we were going to a cousins for tea. We weren't going to have a party as such but they didn't let us off that easy. I hope yours goes well, ours ended up great-VERY late and lots of tears Let us all know how your journey goes xxx

Ye we seem all set, just waiting for the day. So busy fitting in things we want to do before leaving and saying goodbye to friends etc but overall I think we are quite sorted, wel as much as we are guna get haha. baldivis is slightly south east of rockingham , I've just realised u are north of river, I misread. Wel, perth city centre is always a good coffee meeting point How about you. Are you all set to go x

Hi kaboo, welcome. To the pps im not sure when and where the next one will be held but if you hear of a 'wanted down under fair' coming ,then I'd most definitely book tickets. It was about 10 pound each for me and OH and kids came free. It was well worth the visit, back then we needed a way to start the ball rolling too and that definitely did. There were free points assessments, people to book you on ielts , open bank accounts, show you jobs vacant ,absolutely everything. And yes a lot of agencies that want you to use them for your visa. We done it alone but got ALOT of info out of them before we did Time we left we had bank account open ready to start sending money each money giving us a ' credit rating ' over there once we moved, as you loose that moving from England, so showing you can be reliable each month in paying money is a little help start. We were lucky the wanted down under came right to us in Newcastle , but we would have traveled for it. I hope you get paperwork started soon and get things going as it has been a long 1.5 year waiting for us ,and we are finally leaving 29th July. Good luck with everything. joanne

Thanks Lou, yes I knew she'd be heading for year 4 and looked in to that for grades etc, so that's why I was abit worried to hear she might be dropped to year 3. But it's great to hear you are all quite sure that won't happen, and to hear from sammy below who has worked in education,xx

Thanks SJT, think katie was a little worried to start with thinking she might be put with a 'younger' age group so hope this will be ok. Emily would have been in a lower class in uk to katie with having a sept bday but Think the same class out there as it's Xmas time cut of dates I heard.

oh no deb,that is my worst nightmare and worry of what will happen. Feel so sorry for you. Having spent the time sending items to oz, they are special items you do not want broken, not on. I'd complain. Insurance should pay out!! i hope getting all your other items today made up for it. Can't wait to be at that stage. haha deb, ye that can be are last resort eh. Well that's a bit hopeful your hubs didn't see many, I have been told that before. I don't like anything tho, ants flys bugs of any kind, even some birds lol, so ye I'm guna have to tuff it up too Hun.x

Haha I'm sure!! my little one is totally loving spiders at the mo, catching them in jars etc , as boys do ,but desperately hoping he will stop in oz. I've been told the closer to the coast the less spiders around. I don't no how true this is, I can see myself setting the tent up on the beach X

That doesn't sound very professional at all. For the amount of money people pay these agents I'd expect them to email me within minutes of my query , not advise against any concerns. Poor service. I'd email!! Good luck tho x

absolutely!! It's great the meetings Lou arranges and real good idea for folk alike to meet up and hopefully become good friends.
