  1. Hi Susan, That's a pain so do you have to go through the whole TRA process again then? I'm doing my AQF now with a company called ACTS
  2. Sorry to hear that. I'm just at the beginning of the process and I am a painter and decorator to. Do they give you a reason for the fail? Can you appeal it then?
  3. Hi, I have just had to get one myself was a lot easier for me as I work for my dad, even though I was worried about telling him I wanted to move to Australia he was really good about it and very helpful. All I can say is you will need to get it so best try and speak to someone and try to get sorted.
  4. Hi everyone, Well things are going to plan at the minute. I am hoping to move over to Perth sometime early next year with my wife and our 3 year old son . I am applying for a 189 visa as a painter and decorator. We are using an agent called concept Australia who have been really good so far. I have had to get a lot of paperwork together that has been fairly stressful but we are there now . I have my IELTS next Saturday and have been doing a lot of revision so fingers crossed. Then next up is my AQFIII followed by my skills assessment. We really hope that we can get the 189 visa as we both dream of living in Australia and raising our son there. Well we will be doing everything we can to make it happen and all being well our dreams can come true.
  5. I have my IELTS booked for 28th February 2015. I bought the official cambridge guide to IELTS from EBay and have done lots of revision, it really has helped me a lot and also has some practice tests in the back so you can see how you are getting on.
  6. Thanks everyone for all the replys, they have been a great help to us:smile:
  7. Happy new year everyone, My wife, myself and our 3 year old son hope to be moving to Perth later this year and would like some advice on suburbs. Looking at areas within our budget of $450 a week, the few we like the look of are Baldivis, Waikiki and Secret Harbour in the south and Alkimos in the north. We really like the look of the area and houses in Baldivis and you seem to get more for your money south of Perth. Just like to know about living in these areas? Crime rates? Good for young children and family's? Thanks
  8. Thanks for your reply walkabout
  9. Happy new year everyone I have a question regarding the upfront costs when buying a house like solicitors etc? I know there is a LMI insurance if your deposit is less than 20% but I guess that can be added to you mortgage? Just like to know average amount for other costs on a house say that costs 400k? Also I believe that if you are a first time buyer there is no stamp duty to pay? Thanks
  10. Yeah let me know how you get on to mate
  11. Thanks for your reply Michael good luck to mate.
