    Cheers Guys, I tried the UPS route but it think its a bit pricey. Got quoted £860.00 for 1 pallet 1mx1mx1m and paid just over £1200.00 for a dedicated 20ft !! Madness

    Got my Visa granted this morning after 5 months , yippee !! Cant wait to start my new life, job etc. My employer wants me to start asap but i don't have a TFN Number yet and i have just tried to apply but as i am not in the country they will not allocate it. As i have got a Sponsored 457 Visa do i already have one, will it be in the paperwork somewhere ? If not do they really take 28 days? Many Thanks

    Thanks Guys, didn't know about the IOM. Will give them a look. Also what do you do about a TFN Number ? I just tried to apply but as i am not in OZ they will not allocate it ?

    Hi all, Finally got my Visa Granted this morning and now need to get Flights ASAP as my employer wants me to start work in 2 weeks! 1. Any one know of any good Flight deals at the moment , also is it better to get a return? seems that it is only about £30 per person more to get a return for 10 months time. also heard that you can change the return date on these quite easily by about 3 months. 2 Shipping a pallet or large box to Perth. We have already shipped our goods and they actually arrived back in June ( took abit of a gamble) but over the last 2 months we have amassed extra items that i thought i could just pop in a Create and send it over. Any recommendations ? Many Thanks

    Is it worth contacting immigration with a little chase up or will that just push me to the bottom of the pile ? I cant seem to add the application to my immi account Error of you are not authorised to view this, is this because im using an agent ? Also as soon as the visa is granted can i get on the next flight or do i have to wait a certain period of time? Sorry for all the questions just getting a bit down with all the waiting. Thanks

    Yeah i have an agent who has just said be patient. Hard when you have your life on hold waiting. Never mind maybe tomorrow.

    Thanks for the reply, i thought it would be fairly quick as i have a job to go to etc and have to hope and pray that they don't pull the plug on the position because its taking to long. Is there a certain processing day or time for this type of visa or will it be an email any day between 1am and 10 am UK time. Not getting much sleep for the waiting up . Many Thanks

    I have applied for a sponsored 457 Visa which all seems to be going OK. but just taking what seems a long time. The application was lodged as soon as the Job nomination came through on the 1st May and we have heard nothing since. the case officer has all the details and when contacted just said that it was being possessed. Is this normal? i have read alot of people get theirs through with in a few weeks especially with a sponsored visa. Now heading into month 4 and still don't seem to be any closer. Many Thanks

    Hi all, I have been going through a company sponsored 457 visa application and everything seems to be going ok but i wanted to pick someones brains regarding time frames. The latest news from my migration agent is that i have been assigned a case officer, does anyone know how long after this (roughly) it should take to get our visas? I know its a waiting game but i have to move out and ship my personal items to Perth and just wanted to know if i was jumping the gun and i have another 6 weeks or if it was kind of "any day now".
