Hi. Are there any members that can share their experience on car hire on arrival to Perth. We land at 5pm on 29th August and are requiring to hire a car for 4 weeks, we have looked at the main hire firms, however we were just hoping someone may be able to provide us with some good value companies. Hi Cammie. We looked at various rental sites to get furnished accommodation in and around the Rockingham area, however we used Airbnb in the end. You will have to be prepared to put your hand in your pocket as furnished rentals are not that cheap. As an example we paid £2655 to secure a 5 bedroom house for 4 weeks, however we are a family of three but just wanted the extra space. There is cheaper out there. Good luck with locating something.

Hi All We move to Perth on the 28th August and require some help. Can anybody help me in regards to rental companies that specialise in furnished rentals in and around the Perth region? We have looked at Stayz and Airbnb, however we are just wondering if there are any additional sites we can use as we only have six weeks left until we fly. Thanks in advance

Thanks Rossmoyne. I'm not used to cold-calling so that will be a totally different approach for me all together, however I will give it a shot when I arrive. Hopefully I will get successful in my attempts.

Hi All. We are finally moving to Perth in August after a 10 month 190 visa wait and are now starting to plan the finer details, in particular how we would get mobile phone contracts, television packages and hire purchases when we have no prior credit history in Oz. We have savings, however we would prefer not to blow it all on car, furniture, phone and other hire purchases, Can anybody share their experiences and how they went about it. Thanks in advance.

I have spoken to them, however, I am being reassured there should be no issues with the visa process as I submitted my last piece of information 3 months ago and it's just a waiting game. Only have 8 months before I would have to validate the visa if granted though. Guess I'll just have to sit tight Thanks
