Hi Emma, No, not long at all! The movers arrive one week today and yes, my emotions are all over the place as well! I cried for the first time yesterday and what a stress reliever that was! I told my husband that wouldn't be the last time either! hahaha Very nervous at the moment but seem to be more stressed about getting everything to fit in our suitcases! Crazy, right??! I will definitely keep in touch because I would love to meet new friends who have just done what I am doing so we can experience the highs and lows together! Take care. Paula

Hi Claire, I'm 39 (for 2 more weeks!!) and will be arriving with my husband and almost 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter on Aug 12th. We'll be in South Perth to start and when our container arrives are thinking of settling in Atwell. We would love to meet new friends so hope to keep in touch. How has the move been so far for you? Hi Emma, If you're interested in meeting friends with young kids than we'd love to meet up once we're there. My husband (41), myself (39 for 2 more weeks!!) and our son almost 5 and daughter almost 2 will be staying in South Perth with my in-laws when we first arrive Aug 12th while we wait for our container to arrive. Hi everyone, My husband and I (I'm 39 for another 2 and a bit weeks!) will be arriving in Perth with our almost 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter on Aug 12th after a 2 week stopover in NZ. We're from Canada (husband is from WA originally) and will be in South Perth with his parents while we wait for our container to arrive. We're thinking of settling in Atwell but nothing is definite until we have a drive around all the suburbs first but we do know we want to be SOR. I would love to meet up with any other Mum's and kids out there. Even though it will be easier on me having his family in Perth, I would love to meet some people who are experiencing the same thing I am being so far from your family and home. I won't be working until my daughter is old enough for kindy so will have lots of time on my hands for playdates and get togethers. We're hoping to get my son in kindy this October for the final term so he doesn't have to wait until next Feb for pre-primary to start making friends but will see if there's space once we know what school we're closest to. Hope to hear from some of you and meet up as well once we're there. As you know, it's so exciting but as we get closer to flying (July 27th) there are so many other emotions to deal with too! Paula

Hi there, We will be in the same situation once we arrive in Perth Aug 12th. We're coming from Canada though not UK. We will stay with my husband's parents in South Perth until our container arrives with all of our worldly possessions. We also have 2 kids the same age. We are thinking of settling in Atwell but will decide once we're there and can drive around the different suburbs to get a better feel for them. It's all just so exciting!
