  1. And thanks I'll check out perth wingwomen!
  2. I used to go to parkrun in claisebrook but wanted to do more than 5k. NSRG is very good for some longer runs :-)
  3. Ooh, I should add its BYO - bonus! May we should start a curry club!
  4. Hi Rob. I'm on a 457 as main applicant, and my partner is down as my de facto (we're not married). He has had no problem with work, and we've been here for close to a year now. The visa has never been an issue for us :-)
  5. I've joined the NSRG - great group, except I can only do the Sat morning runs due to all the week day ones being at 5.30pm and I wouldn't be able to make it that early from work. Kerry, if you end up moving local we can definitely meet up for some runs :-)
  6. Sorry - I've only just seen these posts! For some reason I didn't get email notification. Yes, it is indeed the British Indian (http://www.britishindian.com.au) - absolutely amazing! One of the best Indians in Perth (and I've tried a few!). The only other one I'd go back to is 2 Fat Indians, they're fab too. I'm loving Kingsley - wish we'd discovered this suburb sooner! Nappy82 - the move is getting very close for you now! :-) X
  7. Does anyone know of any running groups around? I've joined the WAMC and looked at Northern Suburbs Running Club but all seem to meet at 5.30pm and I'd still be at work! I'm based in Kingsley so if anyone fancies a running buddy let me know :-)
  8. Myself and my partner have just moved to a new house in Kingsley and loving it. Is anyone else living round there? We've already discovered the most amazing Indian restaurant!!
  9. I can't remember the name but I know the one you mean! I also pasted a pizza take out place today in Scarborough that had a big "gluten free available" sign outside. It's called Mojos. Will definitely try that at some point!!
  10. Hi Tia. Just to update - glutenfree here is AMAZING! So much better than UK. Coles in Cottesloe have so much stuff and way more variety than UK - a whole range of different breads, cakes, pasta, etc. Woolworths in CBD also had quite a bit, especially different breads. I was very impressed. Also in Fremantle, I had a gluten free burger bun at a little cafe called Green Bean (I think that was it's name!) and I walked passed a bakers in Freo and noticed they sold fresh GF loaves. Can't believe it!!
  11. Count me in! Also 28 and just arrived yesterday so struggling with the jetlag but up for a coffee or something next week :-)
  12. Coffee would be fab! What do you do Alison? Been in Perth long? I'll have a car thank you but will definitely be in need of a drink!
  13. Hi everyone It's been a little while since I posted on here as things have been quite hectic, however what's not done now may just end up not getting done as I fly out to Perth tomorrow!! I'm feeling incredibly nervous now but very much looking forward to it. Although I'm not looking forward to saying goodbye to my family this evening, that's going to be really hard. I'm arriving on my own, with my other half coming over in 6 weeks time. I'm 28 and he is 37, no kids, so would love to meet other people of a similar age for a few drinks or days out next week so I don't get too lonely! We both love the outdoors, beach, a few drinks, etc and I'm also up for meeting anyone who's looking for a running buddy! I'm staying in the CBD for a couple of days, then have a place in Cottesloe for the first month which will hopefully give me time to find a house before the other half arrives. Laura
