  1. Hi roxy I have sent a friend request because for some reason I can't seem to pm you, I noticed your comments on a thread about plumbers and saw that your partners company is constantly looking for employees! Im arriving in perth in February 2014 with my partner and it would be great to know if the company would still be looking for staff? Any help is greatly appreciated! regards Scott
  2. Thanks for info kyle al the best when your out there! Im sure ill see how your getting on!
  3. Thanks fpr the other options, will definately take them into consideration. Will have a look at the BnB option also
  4. Thanks for the information kyle! Looks like your plan is similar to ours, and from scotland aswell! have you got a job sorted already? we definately understand that size and location are key factors on price! I just want to make sure my mind set is ready without any surprises of major billing costs with renting a property! What is you plans accommodation wise for your initial few weeks when you arrive? Some hotels seem very pricey but i have been told this can be due to the mining/ oil industry using a lot of rooms for employees!
  5. Thanks for such quick replies we aint to bothered how many bedrooms the property has is more ideal transport and clean and tidy!( will look into more of the locations mentioned) The high rental prices are making us re think if perth is the more suited city! As most people are in the position of going out without guarantee of a paying job! We are coming over with roughly 20k savings but again that can quickly disapear if we get no job and stuck renting a place at 700+ pw!
  6. Hello, first post here, been a member for quite some time but just digging through the heeps of information available on the site before posting anything! Basically my partner and i are a young couple(24/23) and we plan to come over in january on a working holiday visa, im a plumber and my partner is a hairdresser but currently now works in the banking industry! I have been researching accommodation and prices of rent etc, but my question is what sort of realistic rental price are we lookiing at either in CBD or Freo(any other areas for young couples we are open to suggestions)?? My issue is we dont know whats a good rental price or not as prices are so varried. We arent looking for particular things in the accomodation other than it would have to be fully furnished and it would be a short term rental due to visa we would be holding! Close to transport should be a must also! My initial plan is to maybe book a bnb or hotel for a week or two, this will give us time to pick up a place to stat and hopefully work and get the ball rolling! We will be coming over with a decent savings account but dont want to be living of it for long! Any help information will be highly appreciated! thanks scott!
