  1. Hi Debra, Jindalee is lovely, we are just renting there, the cafe isn't finished but to be honest the sign has gone up for it and it looks like it's going to be a chippy??? we will see anyway. We left our house in the UK and rented it out-is that something that would be an option for you-it's not really a good time to be bringing pounds over here. Anyway good luck with everything and hope you get back soon x
  2. Hi Kellie, I am in Jindalee, but work in marmion and drive, if you're around over the next week, would you be up for meeting upfor a coffee or something? and lauren that will be great just drop us a line once you're here :-)
  3. Hi Ali, If I haven't left it too late to reply, please count me in, I will be there and will pm you my number fot once you're there... see you tonight then.
  4. Hi Kellie, How are you? I am also looking to make a few more friends if you fancy meeting up? I'm NOR, where abouts are you? :-)
  5. Hi, We have recently moved back to Perth and are loving being back! But got very home sick last time, missing friends and family and ended up going back to the UK for a while, so looking to make more friends this time round as a couple, as well girlfriends for myself. Paul is 30 and I am 23, no children just yet. Our friends already are a mix: older and younger, some with children, some with out, it makes no difference to us. I love going walking, for coffee's, eating out and BBQ's, have the odd one but not a big drinker. I work part time in Marmion and live in Jindalee, if any one is around these areas and would like to meet up I'd love to hear from you! Thanks Jemma :-)
  6. Hi everyone, Have you managed to organise anything? I would be really interested in joining in (although am shockingly out of shape at the moment!). I work part time in Marmion and live in Jindalee so can do early morning or pm's some days and any time other days. Look forward to hearing back :-)
  7. Wow what a rip off, 90 euros! Ah I'm sorry you're finding it hard, I know how if feels (having already done it once) But it really is a better life on so many levels! I think the first week or so is a bit like "Oh My God we're here!!! What have we done? It's sooo far away!" We don't have any kids for your son to play with but if you want to catch up when we arrive, let me know? Where are you living? We will be in the Northern suburbs/Joondalup area. Anyway hope you're starting to settle and enjoy it and maybe see you soon :-)
  8. Thanks Frosties! the airbuses sound great! Don't think we're on one, wish we were though!
  9. Hi Debbie, thanks for you message, no definitely wouldn't fancy 10 hours , we had an 8 hr stop once before, the jet lag was awful! Hopefully won't be too bad this time getting 2 nights sleep somewhere in the same time zone as Perth :-). How are you finding Perth so far? We leave in 5 days and can't wait, althoygh it's kind of bittersweet, great to get there, but sad to leave family. I noticed from one of your other posts you're from Ireland, which part do you come from, my in- laws (to be) are Irish also?
  10. Hi, my partner and I are moving BACK to Perth next week. We are flying out from Heathrow on Tuesday 18th September at 8.00pm with Singapore Airlines, we are then staying in Singapore for 2 nights and flying to Perth on the Sat 22nd at 1.00am. Just wondering if anybody else heading over is on either these flights?
