  1. Hi Debs Just submitted our SS last night and as others have said, it automatically puts in $40,000 for a family of four and you have to complete a box where the figure must be at least the same or greater. Then underneath there's a box to put the breakdown of where that money is coming from. Get your agent told!! :-) Does your agent sit the text for you?? :-)
  2. Same here Debs! OH got the invitation a few hours after the email from Skillselect this morning! It's all moving pretty quick now!! :-)
  3. Hi Just posting so people can stay up to date with turn around times. After submitting EOI last thurs evening for 190 and SS (5/9), received email this morning saying WA are looking at our EOI. As others have posted, hopefully we will receive an invitation quite soon. :-)
  4. Will do Debs. Was just seeing if anyone had any experience of problems with hours worked when it came to ANMAC. Surely not everyone is working full time that apply to have their skills assessed?? :-) FedEx coming today to pick up statement of service and so was just wondering if we were now wasting our time. These things are sent to try us!
  5. Hi can anyone explain what it means when it states on the ANMAC website under the Professional Reference section 'employment less than 3 months (FULL TIME EQUIVALENT) duration' will not be accepted? My OH is now worried that although she has 5 years experience as a midwife and has been contracted to work 30 hours/week since July 2010, she thinks ANMAC will not give her a positive skills assessment because she doesn't work what may be classed as full time hours i.e. 37.5 hours/week? Thanks Gordon
  6. Well done Debs!!! :jiggy:We are just 1 or 2 weeks behind you. I never knew I had so much patience!!
  7. Like the above posts, I find it an invaluable source of information re. Visas, accommodation, employment, lifestyle, etc. An abundance of helpful people, with a few nut jobs thrown in! :-) I would like to see a better 'search' facility for the main area of visas/skills assessment. For example, i have seen some excellent posts on here from nurses/midwives explaining the process to go through re ANMAC and AHPRA but they would take such a lot of time and effort to find.
  8. Thanks for your help. Photographic evidence of the relationship e.g. joint travels, social events the couple attended etc will send them a lovely 8x4 wedding pic taken on applecross beach with Perth CBD in the background.......that's got to swing it!!
  9. Congratulations!!!! :-) can you tell me what additional info you sent due to not taking your husbands name? We're in the same situation but hoping the fact we got married in Perth and have an Oz certificate will suffice! :-)

    457....

Hi Pinkpopy123, my wife(midwife) and I have decided to move to Perth and I noticed on the forum you were waiting for your visa. I'm just wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions? :-) Does she need to apply for her registration first with AHPRA before looking for a job? What made you go for the 457 visa? I've looked at the Immi website and just don't know where to start. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
