We paid 700$ for our Dalmatian to be shipped from Queensland to Perth , with jetpets 3 months ago , Dogtainers qouted us the same .

Well you could drive to Perth zoo.. kids love the zoo .. pet the kangaroos' at caversham and picnic at whiteman park while your there … or kings park .. lottery park West has a great playground for kids and you can sight see at the same time... go by train into Perth , get the free ferry inclusive of your ticket and go to south Perth.. play on the play ground and have a lunch . Failing that chipmunks in port Kennedy lol !!

I haven't been on for a while ..what with dog operations and house building and other things.. I've always liked this site and its great to see it getting busier with friendly people . We are all entitled to our opinions .. we don't need slaying for them .. good luck for those coming , going or just here for a natter !

If you like the schools and your children are over year one you can move ..even the next suburb can make a difference . I feel for your wife it hit me at 8 weeks we have been here over 4 years now.. and i still have wobbles ! Is she working ? That helps , it did for me

Tbh , most houses over here wipe the floor size wise to houses in the UK .. it's the garden's that get smaller that's my opinion .. we are here with a mortgage when we had nearly none in the UK .. the thing i think is, if its a worry for when your gone and you want to leave something , the kids still get the house and they can take the equity out of it .. Its all relative one person dream is anothers nightmare and visa versa ! good luck with it all ...

We are building in Baldivis at the moment , we like it very much and have lived down here 3 years . As has been mentioned the shopping complex is being extended over the next few years thank goodness, it has the neccesaties so far . we are getting a few extra shops and restaurants in the next month, yippeeeeeeeee ! close to the beaches and Freeway . 3 primary schools another two up and coming one brand new high school , also one private school and another coming in the near future . Alas still noooo post office grrr ..

Hi Jen , I assume you mean from the UK ? . If so then we used company called Golden Arrow pet transports , couldn't fault them . pet Air also have an excellent rep .we recently flew dog over from Brisbane , we used jet pets for this and Dogtainers have also a good rep. All the best!

Take a portable DVD player with some dvd's for the littles .. if your are like mine they won't be looking at the scenery and saying ooh and ahh .. more like I'm bored are we there yet ?! Enjoy .. love Margeret river

Nope ... we were seduced by family lol ..

We have just shipped a dog from Brisbane to Perth .. no problems , we used jet pets for internal flight easy as ! You can put them on the same flight as you internally as well . I would ring a shippers and ask for their take on it .Pet Air , Golden Arrow , are both reputable companies .

We brought ours over .. and have since bought another here . Def cheaper to buy there and bring it over , change your plugs once here

I joined this when we came over , some nice groups and days out etc.. it very child friendly here .. keep your eyes on the papers etc and the parenting free paper . Lots of craft classes , shows , clubs all sorts really http://www.playgroupaustralia.com.au/wa/
