Heya all, my name is Claire and I work for a local ral estate office in a suburb called Secret Harbour. We are a family of five, me, the hubby and three daughters and, although we came over initially in 04 on holiday, we emigrated in 05. We then spent years back and forth four times in all and are now happy to say we have been here a long time now, have our citizenship and things are looking better every day ;o) Secre Harbour is South of the River and must be the most British Suburb SOR that I know of (well five couples that we were friends with followed us over, so that must say something about the place, lol) Anyway, if anyone would like to know more about the two local primary schools, the high school, shops, beach, sporting complex with grandstands galore (with licenced bar) or even the fantastic golf club and child care that our suburb has to offer, please feel free to contact me further. Heya again Jodi... Sorry, forgot to mention it takes about two months to do a house transaction here and, once you put an offer in, it is legally binding, unless you dont get finance approval... But I have a great finance broker, which we have used personally for all our home loans over the years, unless you are paying cash, then that is slightly different. Also, with regards to child care, there is one local day care centre in Secret Harbour which is called Goodstart ... If you like the beach, surfing, shopping, golf, family parks and the odd drink at the local, then it sounds like you, along with me and many many other Pom families will love Secret Harbour. I have lived in this suburb since 05 with my three daughters (13, 11 & 4) and love it! If you are looking for a public school for your youngsters there are two primary schools and one high school. My girls have all gone to Secret Harbour Primary School. Whether you are looking for a family home with a pool, air con or just a smaller home, the choice is fenomanal. If you look on google earth at the suburb of Secret Harbour, you will see why so many poms choose to live here... It is literally on the beach and if you fancy learning to surf, then the local surf club can help you out.
