Yeah at a cost and an expensive one

Research,Research and research as much as possible, left behind was family, a nice house and a good career which i don't have here yet, if you don't have direct contact getting jobs can be difficult depending on the career. I love the long warm summer, and the fact you can build and design your own house cheaper than buying. Renting is expensive depending where you are and care needs to be taken when renting there are some right dives. I haven't found it extremely different to the UK when it comes to having to get on with things, you still have to work and mostly both do to make it, i.e paying your way. I haven't found any friendlier than the UK either, you do need to be strong to start all over again and if you are then you will be fine.

Hi yes its cold on an evening, still nice during the day but first thing in the morning it is now also cold. my husband had his HGV in the UK, but in Adelaide he had to do it again but worth it, he is also the lorry driver for the when they go out to jobs and gets paid extra. working for the airport will be a good job too, there is alot of development there at the moment, there making it bigger so may be more jobs available.

Hi guys well i arrive on Thursday from accepting a job in the animal welfare sector in a senior position, i was offered the job 2 weeks as from this Friday,so i have been very busy LOL! i have been in Adelaide since July 2012 unemployed but doing voluntary work for a wildlife park. Determination and accepting changes all helps to a migration so try not to dig your feet to deep into the ground, keep an open mind for the first couple of years at least and it will pay. My husband is staying on in Adelaide for a further few weeks as he finally got a job in January and works away more often than not, also we need the money to keep coming in at this moment in time, but again sacrifices have to be made if you want to succeed. I have a job that i am very skilled within and it is also my passion, not very well paid but that is charity work for you, but i am not in it for the money more of a rewarding job, however i am relocating to a state that was one of the first options strangely, so it has has all worked out in the end for me and my family, the kids are happy about the move too. My eldest daughter is completing a cert 3 in police studies at Adelaide TAFE and she is doing very well, so this was a worry about the completion, with some communication with the senior Lecturer she has arranged with the other lecturers for her to complete via e mail and online, the Senior Lecturer as my daughter found out is actually from Perth and has friends who lecture in Joondalup TAFE who she is going to contact for my daughter to complete her exams with one of the Joondalup lecturers, unreal LOL we haven't felt the benefits of the migration as yet but i have a good gut feeling in a few months time when all the expense of finding what is right for us as a family settles down i am sure this will turn around for us too. So keep your chin up when you first migrate and remember with the right frame of mind it will work out in the end. .

Hi sarah I would contact the Wa education department to clarify and give them the D.O.B, but what ever age they seem to be regarding the school starting month, WA seems to be June to June from what i have seen and researched, Adelaide is now May the child tends to go back 1 year level to what they are in the UK. My daughter (born 96)finished and completed school in the Uk but went back to Yr 10 but they put her in Yr 11 in Adelaide due to her grades but in WA she will go back to YR 11. Hope you understand this LOL. But i would double check as they seem to be doing some changes at the moment in the education i have spoken with some schools in WA last week.

north perth like areas around Joondalup how long would it take to get to malaga cheers -
Hi :ssign16: what nice family suburbs are around Malaga and easy to get to Malaga if working there, what is ballajura like?? i have looked on google maps (streets) and it looks lovely, is their train access this will be much needed for the older one, easy access to Uni's, and if had to travel to Joondalup, or to schools. we like parks for walking the dog and bike riding with the family, like the beach life too but we are now not too bothered if we need to travel 15-20 mins on train or car to the beach, we are 2 mins walk from the beach at the moment etc but we don't want somewhere too quiet we have made that mistake here in Adelaide and it has bored us to tears especially the older one, we don't see anyone, theirs no walk to a parade of shops, cafe's etc the older one has to travel almost 2 hrs to the city to TAFE. would like scouts for the younger one as she is in scouts now and is doing her self esteem good as she lacks this, also a small school for her Ive had to move her from a big school already which has done her the world of good any guidance will be much appreciated cheers ... Hi we came when my daughter completed her GCSE's if you come out straight from then he may go into yr 11, if he plans on going to uni he will need the yr 12 certificate, however my daughter came out of school as it was not that good also witnessed by myself when i went in , she is now doing a cert3 in police studies and loving it at TAFE (college). the school year starts from end of January to December. there are other options to get into Uni but yr 12 combined with yr 11 is easier but then again it depends on the grades for the course they want to study, if they do not get the appropriate grades they have to take other pathways to uni any way. the school my daughter went to was not in Perth by the way. cheers

hi no problem at least it cleared your own thoughts they are alot of people saying that Perth at the moment is one of the best states for employment, but it is true when they say its who you know not what you know we have experienced that too, but my husband got a job through Adecco agency, Hays agency are apparently the biggest agency you create your own account, it may be worth your while looking at Hays and see what they can do for you. also Adecco

Hi December, Jan and feb are very quiet for employing especially for tradies not too sure for your type of work but from my experience and others those months stated tend to be very dry for most employment as they say in OZ it is the shut down time hope this helps a little but employment starts end of January
