  1. Hey guys there are lots of casual games around - 5aside, 11aside - Subiaco, Leederville, etc... Usually play casual 5 or 7 aside on a Saturday or Sunday morning - let us know and i can send you the details
  2. Know Walthamstow well used to hit the market there as a kid and a few nights at the dog track before it closed. Lots of places in Margaret River mate a lot of it close to Dunsborough - a few ideas that may help: Busselton - long jetty that's worth a walk on a nice day Beaches: Meelup (nice small cove so easy currents & lovely beach), Yallingup (great place to go in late arvo/around sunset - take a few cold ones & park up on the hill watching the sunset & local surfers), Smiths beach (closer to Dunsborough are more smaller, relaxing, further down the coast are the larger wave surf beaches (e.g. Prevelly in Margaret River town, Grace Town, etc..) Breweries: (nice for lunch & a beer): Duckstein (german themed - prob most fancy but nice setting - you may go there on your tour), Bootleg is cool (sometimes a band playing some chilled out tunes), Cheeky Monkey Restaurants/Pubs: Caves House (Yallingup) - nice beer garden & pub grub food / Clancys Fish Pub is nice (beers & fish/chips/seafood) Wineries: Too many & down to personal choice - just drive around & pop in for tastings Other: Simmo's Ice Creamery (delicious!!), Gabriels/Marg River Chocolate factories, Cheese Factory, Providores (if you like chutneys/jams/sauces), Natural Olive Soap Factory (one for the girls - when my family came over a lot of them bought gifts from here), Caves you can go down, etc... Hope this helps - could go on for a while as have been down 7 or 8 times now! Cheers Adam

  4. Hey guys - Mark know what you mean about southerners/londoners - think they are all over in Melbourne & Sydney! I'm from East London/Essex way - where are you originally from in the east? The mrs is a local Perth girl and we are really enjoying Perth having settled here after 5yrs living in London. Liam - big fan of Brighton great night out! We aren't far from you guys - a bit further up the line near Greenwood/Whitfords station. Always up for meeting new people - particularly some fellow Southerners - give us a shout if you head out for a beer Adam
  5. Awesome! We managed to see Australia v Serbia which had a great atmosphere and Tomic played a blinder to beat Djokovic. Enjoy Friday we won't be able to make it but if you guys, Steve, Elaine & anyone else is free next Thursday before the long weekend we could meet up locally either Hillarys or Joondalup? If so will pm details
  6. Hey Laura, We are a couple 31 & 30 - i'm from London and my wife is an Aussie but we lived in London for 5yrs after meeting when i was backpacking over here 6-7 years ago and only moved back permanently towards the end of December 2011. We are in Kingsley, which is the next suburb east from you Lou, and 10mins from Joondalup and are always keen on meeting new people, particularly people nearby and are very easy going - beach, bbqs, sports (footie, rugby union, rugby league, surfing - my wifes good i'm useless!) - Laura you mentioned tennis - did you go to the Hopman cup at all? Would be nice to arrange something, the next few weekends aren't any good unfortunately as we are away but happy to sort something after that or on a school night. Adam
  7. Yes play at Lords Chris, pretty good set-up there and enjoy the run-out once a week. I'm away that Friday to the Sunday but don't wanna be the one to stop it so you guys go ahead and perhaps the Friday after we can organise something?
  8. Hey guys, Chris - will sms you, my turn to apologise - been really busy & putting the hours in at work of late... Will bump what Chris has said, the more the merrier! That's a good suggestion mate have been a few times it is a nice bar, particularly on a sunny day/evening........only problem is I play 5aside on Weds evenings.....any chance of making it another evening? (am also out Thurs 21st - sorry to be a pain!) Cheers Adam
  9. Hey Chris, I live around the Kingsley are so not local as such but not too far away. Like yourself am a novice/useless surfer and spend most of my time falling over but would like to improve, with perhaps lessons or some more practice so let me know if you fancied heading out for a surf one weekend morning? Otherwise enjoy most sports, play 5aside, enjoy a beer here & there... and like to get out and enjoy what Perth has to offer. Am from NE london but lived in central London for five years with the wife before moving here (she's a local) cheers Adam
