Thanks for the feedback. We already have a property in Perth and the cooker is the dimension as the old one that is currently in the property. Does all the white goods have to be certified to be used in Perth? We have had serveral shippers to survey our household goods and quote for shipping. Of all, only one mentioned about the cooker. Any one shipped appliances from the UK and had any issues getting this certified to use in Perth?

Hi, We just been getting quotes form shippers and the last one who came in today mentioned that UK cookers may not meet the Australian approval requirements. He was not sure what this was exactly but advised that we get this checked with an Australian electrician / gas engineer before shipping it. We have a fairly new Rangemaster dual fuel range cooker (gas fire & electric ovens) which has not been used as we did not have space in our present home. Has anyone shipped a cooker from the UK and managed to get it connected? What is the process for getting an approval for a cooker? Thanks, Michael
