Hi.... My daughter is due to start Tapping Primary school on 27 August and was hoping to make some friends there prior to starting. Has anyone got any children in year 6 willing to meet up with Molly to give her a helping hand? She's a lovely sociable and happy girl but a little shy. Look forward to hearing from you

Sorry for delay in coming back to you! Thanks for this.... I went to the school and looked round with the Principle who was a decent guy, reassured me with a lot of things, the school has improved greatly over the last few years as it did have a bit of a reputation according to the Principle. I have enrolled her there now anyway and she has settled in nicely and made quite a few friends so all is good :0) Looking at rentals at the moment, one in Wanneroo tonight so lets see what that brings? Hi.. We have finally arrived and are currently looking at schools for our 11 year old and 14 year old daughters. The problem I have is that my eldest daughter who didn't want to come in the first place wants to go to Wanneroo school as she has a friend there. I have heard mixed reports but mostly not good which is a major worry for me. Just wondered if anyone has any children there who could give me any info on this please? She has her heart set on going there and if it makes her happy then we will consider it but have got Ocean Reef or Woodvale as our preferred options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Sounds like your settling in well and is no nice to hear We're moving out on 20 June, nerves kicking in but hopefully everything will run smoothly for us. Concerns with finding a rental but from what you say perhaps we don't need to worry too much. We are staying with friends initially in Ashby which is close to Tapping, were there plenty of rentals available as heard Tapping is a good area?

Hi...Can anyone advise how much to mark up the valuation cost of household goods for removal insurance please, I know we have to give the replacement value of the goods in Australia. Is there a website I can access so I can compare costs or could I just mark up by a percentage rate? Any help would be appreciated! Going with Insure Your Move, are they about the best, cheapest? Thanks for the advice and info, as long as it is possible and not too much of a hassle then think I will just have to go with it and pay the extra costs Have enough on my plate at the moment with the move without worrying about this too. Can't wait to get on that plane!

Hi, we are emigrating to Perth on 20 June but my passport is due to expire July 2014. I was hoping to get it renewed before we left but due to a couple of quick trips overseas haven't got time. Has anyone had any experience of renewing a British passport whilst out in Aus please? Feeling very excited but nervous now - 8 weeks tomorrow we'll be on the plane:smile2: Thanks Jane xx

Hi, my husband will be over there in June and he's a plumber. He has 20 years City & Guilds approved experience and has completed the Vetasses skills test. Will the above costs apply to him, he is aware he will have to do a migrant gap course but would like to know the cost and what is involved in the course? I'm sure he would love to speak with you and iron our a few issues if that's OK with you?:ssign14:

Hi, we are due to move in June and have two daughters Elle 13 and Molly 11. Molly can't wait to get over there following a holiday we had last year. Elle on the other hand is devastated, settled in school, great group of friends and gets very emotional. Her greatest fear is not making friends, we totally understand her worries but have tried to explain our reasons for moving but doesn't make any difference. Can anyone point me in the direction of the kids thread as I'd like to pass onto Elle and Molly. Good luck everyone!

Hi, it took us 2 weeks from the day of the medical to get the visa granted, was amazed and didn't expect it to be honest. We fly out on the 20th of June

Hi... Not sure if any of you have heard about the Jet2 Party Plane competition? This is a competition where you had to choose a theme for the plane, pick a destination and then fill it with 100 of your friends. You would then be flown to that destination and have accommoation provided for the weekend. The entries were whittled down to the final 10 and this then went into a public vote. We entered and decided it would be a great idea to hold it as our leaving party - we fly to Perth in June. Amazingly we got picked out of 16000 plus entries, our theme is 'Bruce & Sheila's Last Dance In Ibiza'. We have until midday on Monday 4 March to get as many votes as possible which is where I am hoping you and your friends can come in? We would be ever so grateful if you could vote for us Pm me for the link. If you could spread the word it would mean so much to us and of course we would be doing it for the Aussie brigade!
