  1. same as us Nurse and Bricklayer ...... But alot of really helpful folk on here , and if you do not want to ask on forum - simply send a direct message . But as @verystormy said , sometimes moving to the other side of the world may not be the answer ? for example if youre in the midlands - try the coast , Cornwall etc ..... slower pace of life . but yep genuinely all the best to you guys
  2. ah i see , Damn shame that .... does your family have no ideas ? seems your'e keen so wheres theres a will theres a way ! good luck
  3. Can you not go on a working visa ? aren't these available to get if your'e under 30 ? always thought 30 was the cut off ? Then try and get sponsorship whilst out there ??? I imagine that its pretty hard at the moment anyway ( trying to get a flights hard enough lol ) Good luck ............. Oh and as for Aussie TV it aint that much better lol !
  4. The RRV was all abit vague ..... however they said only apply when you know you are ready ??? but yep i think due to covid , But yes ill keep chipping away at him
  5. @FOL our big mare at the moment is this RRV and process times ? really need to look into it as weve got no chance of getting there before visa ends . ........ Yes our SON!!!! hes 16 doing his A levels , however he was looking at Aussie universities so well see
  6. Just bumping this thread with a question - Has anyone tried this direct flight ? As i was just looking at prices for November .... 3 adults 1 child - economy £2,538. , business £15,000 and first class £20,400 ! Just thinking due to recent shenanigans a direct flight might be so much more simple .... Just mulling things over thats all , So if anyone knows of anyone ..... share there thoughts plz
  7. Crikey @FOL sorry to here about your Mum, And with all this going on jeez ! But now youre telling me you have a dirtbike too !! Our friends of friends nr Bunbury have alot of farm land and we did alot of biking ...... never rode a dirtbike on sand before ! And man - so different terrain . We had a bit of a heat wave here - So got a chance to swim right out in the Cornish sea......... trouble is our ocean is sooo cold ! As for coming over , our son is still dead against it ..... and is half way through A levels - But i dont know how they will do , as his Gcses where graded by teachers and marked down . Couldnt sit exams over here due to all this illness millarky ! So hope A levels it will get back to normal ............ But again i feel we will never see normal again , and thats a different chat lol ! So, yep ideally it would be great to return this year . I was even looking at 1st class for all of us with Emirates - As 1st class travel had far less restrictions .... But well see . And yep another lil one certainly takes up the free time .
  8. Happy new year to you @FOL ...well the forum is very quiet lol ! So we are still in Blighty. Still mega mega busy with work . never known anything like it - bizarre .... But cant grumble. Our visa runs out end of Feb - But because flights are a complete nightmare , we have been told to find suitable date for flight and look at RRV ? ..... But only when we have flight sorted ( if that makes sense . I must say, i follow a few guys like Soul surf in scarbs ...... and the summer markets on instagram , and it is really uplifting just looking at the photos on there , blue skys , blue sea and that big yellow Sun ! Yup , where ok - when we do make it back out weve decided this time to keep place in UK and rent in Oz this time round . Hope you are well @FOL and still getting time for the sea
  9. We rang immigration office , you have to call Easton Australia so time different to Western Australia. But we where told if you apply before visa runs out - they may only grant you a short time after to travel, So with all thats going on in the world to fill in forms and pay once YOU know when you can travel . Hope this makes sense, but give em a bell for more advice
  10. We where told to apply for RRV after visa expires . But i would give them a ring to see what they say also
  11. Hey bud , Similar to us ..... and many many more , But yes we spoke to relevant people and they spoke of this being fine , no probs . We tried to get visa extended due to covid but where told not to worry and the RRV is the way . bit annoying as trying to get another year ..... But hey ho
  12. Ah , if coles do home delivery yes i could order a big shop for them , very true that many hampers always have bits in that seem to end up in the cupboard ;o) But yes , some nice food for them would be great
  13. Hello all ! I wondered if anyone could help us by recommending a hamper delivery company in Perth/WA ? Our friends in Bunbury have been going through such a hard time and we felt would be nice to order them a Chrimbo hamper from over here in the UK. Just wondered if any of you guys had used any good quality food/ drink hamper companies that could recommend ? Thanks in advance ;o)
  14. Hey guys , so sorry but we are back in the UK , we where due to get out again around January but flights etc from the UK are a nightmare right now ! But yep any advice or a chat just message us . WA was an amazing place - but for us at that time it did not work out , but it still holds a special place in our harts .
  15. oh dear, sorry to course an upset . My real point was that only 1 migration agent ever gets mentioned on this forum ..... And hey - maybe i have got it all wrong , maybe another Camilla from another migration company. It was so long ago i probably have ....... Who knows ! But please remove post as i do believe it was unfair of me posting on a public forum , and that was wrong of me .... I apologise totally for this .
  16. is it right that this forum only recommends one migration agent ? Bearing in mind this company is the one that was recommended to us but we soon found to be so over priced and customer care skills so poor - that we decided to sort our own visa's ...... and saved a fortune ! ( might be in my old posts approx 5 - 6 yrs ago )
  17. parking i know ..... its a nightmare ..... being demolished
  18. we follow Yelo corner store cafe in TRIGG on instagram , gosh love the views from that place ....... coffee not bad either lol
  19. if you can afford it - do it ! but please be aware that things are very very slow in WA ...... what you may think will take a month usually takes 3 ! Or you could just mooch around the local beaches ..... sea is lovely n warm
  20. well from my experience gosh its hard, The Aussies that are over friendly tend to want to sell you something lol ! had that a few times ! I just think youve really got to put yourself out there .... hard i know, As sometimes conversation with an Aussie is like getting blood from a stone. I think the big problem we found is knowone knows your past history ..... old friends know what you've been through. I know we met a lot of very very lonely brits , very sad . But if you are struggling don't be afraid to ask for help, it can be very lonely at times. School and work helps ..... but if its meant to be it will happen , and a new best friend will pop up soon x
  21. fantastic ..... hoped you would say that , wishing you luck in finding friends guys.
