No , where from Midlands - leicester area . As we have kids they where upset when we sold family home so we just want to make next move a more permanent one …. So couldnt face working in Melbourne then Perth. But well see , paid for everything ( visas etc ) PR ……… So worst comes like i mentioned maybe i could bak shift ???? Or get over and hubby get bricklaying or something …. pretty versatile couple so we will see )

More and more of new staff in the NHS seem to be on temp / renewable contracts …. think its the way now . Hope all goes well for everyone ! Do you think wa have gone overboard with spending - or has it been justified ? …. supose what im trying to say is do you feel its valid/ needed to get rid of staff or has money been wasted in other areas ?

Yes, im a paediatric nurse in cardio …… So dissapointed as weve been at this for 3 years but only just got back on it due to failing the ilets so many times - left us so deflated . But last year we said thats it! - so got back on it and past ilets - Even sold house to release funds and pay for visa process. So were sat here now paid for everything , thousands spent …………………. thinking is this really meant to be ? We have been forced to jump through hoop after hoop on this journey and now if we do get out , all i may be offered is temp work . And to think when we started the process we got so many offers of "ring us " as soon as youve got your registration , due to be a paediatric nurse in cards …. gosh i felt quite in demand ) I have been offered a job in Melbourne ….. but WA is where our heart is really . what will be will be , i supose

Dosent help when youve already sold up in the UK to finance move and already down a few grand !!! Supose theres always Melbourne ;o)

Oh no , this is all we need ………. been planning on emigrating for so long , Sold ok UK home we built ( which was a heart wrench ) to finance costs to emigrate - we must have spent 8k already ….. and now this news !!! We were told be our recruitment man that things should settle down arround March , but im doubting this now also he says come out and temp - but also doubing this too ! Ah well what will be will be ………… rant over )

So im sure there wont be any private clinics - but if you know of any please please let me know ;o) I supose really i need to get get job sorted first ….. but im just thinking as i have been offered bank nursing once have visa….. until jobs available i will have to make a decision . We really would prefure very short comute - and cycle to work - wow ! But we will see ….. …… thanks for replies guys

Hi, just pondering and we have always been thinking of living quite close to Perth ( rental prob ) ….. or if had to by might look at munster etc. However our friends in WA , suggested - why dont we look at mandurah ?? And commute via train ? (im a nurse - hopefully at new childrens hospital eventually). So just thinking would it be cheaper to buy further out - Mandurah and pay for train ???? Or live closer to Perth and drive ….. or even cycle - WOW ! Just mulling things over guys ……. youre all wonderful and im sure your opinions will be truly fab ;o) Thanks Guys

Ok guys thanks , just as i thought really …… this time of year in the UK always gets me down ! just making me eager to get over there ;o) Chap im dealing with did say though due to job freeze ( does anyone know how long this may last ) …. once aphra sorted and my PR Visa comes through he can offer me temp work until somthing available at new childrens hospital. ….. Just a job offer would help us feel more secure ! Anyhow thanks again guys

Im still waiting for it too - August i put it in. Had an email today saying they need an extension possibly till April, if i dont agree to extension then they will cancel application. Charming!!!!
