I got my PR last year and fly out in 2 weeks and am getting a bit anxious but my jobs off the SOL now so I'm going to making the most of the opportunity that I have. Can't wait to get stuck in!

I'm flying out in two weeks time and have to say that I've been feeling slightly anxious about lots of things like leaving family and friends but these photos have reminded me why I'm off and the rain rattling the window in the middle of a UK summer is helping loads too!!! Great photos everyone!

Phones in the UK and Oz work on the same frequencies so if they're unlocked, you're good to go.

Hi Debs, I booked my flight from Manchester to Perth with one stop of about two and a half hours in Abu Dhabi. The flight can easily be found on Skyscanner but I rang Dial A Flight and they knocked a bit more off it but I'm not flying til September and the route seems different then. Just about to book the Movecube!!!! Gutted they land in Melbourne though....
-
If you haven't booked your flights yet, check Etihad. Just paid £470 one way Manchester to Perth. Better sort the movecube now. Any ideas on times it's taking for them to arrive in WA from your experiences?

I'm a teacher and can send a writing guide if you need? PM me with an e mail address if you like. A friend of mine did IELTs and they're dyslexic. They got extra time but no extra charge. Good luck with everything!

I'm a teacher and can e mail a writing guide we use with students if yo PM me with an e mail address. I found the day intense as the others have said due to the timings and the listening is hard, especially for a bloke who can't multitask and listen and write at the same time! Prrepare well though and you'll be fine.

Looking at your time line, I see you are teaching. How long did registration take? I need to get this sorted too. Have you had the police checks done yet? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can anyone tell me how long there movecubes took to get over to Freo or Perth? I need to book mine and get it sorted! I hope everyone's plans are coming together nicely!

Could I ask for the link please too?! Just about to start a similar process! Many thanks! Chall.

Nice one dude! I'm about to book mine for later in the year and cannot wait!

Have a look at http://ironladyimports.com/ as they seem to be the specialists and super helpful with advice.

Congratulations dude! Got mine a few months ago and cannot wait to get to WA! Give them heaps with the exit interview too!

Private schools in the UK often have smaller classes which means children get more one to one attention. In the UK private school pupils outperform state educated children at GCSE and A Level for this reason. When privately educated children go to uni and have to work themselves they are found out and grades drop. Educational ethos starts at home and what parents instill in their children is of most value.

Can anyone recommend any revision books for the IELTS please?
Chall replied to LancashireLass's topic in Visas and Migration
There are people flogging used ones on ebay and if you PM me with an e mail I will send a GCSE writing revision guide which should be of help. -
Brilliant to hear such a positive post. Stoked everything is working out and hope everything goes well. More positives please!

More Perth bashing! I can't wait to get back over now I have my visa. I would trade mozzies for the dark gloomy mornings that are kicking in in the UK. Going to work in the dark, coming home in the dark, constant drizzle.... I actually think Perth drivers are way more patient and there's less speeding in WA. Bogans doing burnouts at 3AM can do one though!

I'm a teacher and have a GCSE revision guide that can help with the writing. PM me an e mail address and I'll beam it over.

If anyone wants a writing guide we give to GCSE students, I can soon send it over if it would be of help. PM me with an e mail address if you like.

I'm on a 190 myself but thought it weird that we have exactly the same dates for lodging and being picked up by a CO. Exciting times! Good luck mate!
-
Did you get picked up by team 33? You have exactly the same time scale as me!
-
It took about two weeks or so for me to get one for my 190. Not sure if it was coincidence but my CO picked my case up the day after I started to upload a few documents. I have to say that my CO seems proper fair dinkum and mega helpful.

Beards kick ass ladies!

In that case, it should be easy enough. My mate and his wife went employer sponsored with a job waiting whent hey arrived and never used an agent. They thought it was straight forward enough. Just putting the idea out there. I'm a teacher and have found everything easy enough so far and I've had an invite so cross fingers please! Good luck whatever you decide. Chall.
