  3. Hi there we are in a similar boat. I'm on 73-80k, two kids 6&4, single income. Live to your means for sure but we have a lovely big 5 bed house (well one is supposed to be a study), car, dog, don't live on the edge but not too frivolously either. We we manage nicely and believe well be far better off than UK on only the one wage even! afraid I don't know much about child are though. jon

  5. Panic over!!! Thanks everyone. Rang e-wire and they said I should have a power pack which wasn't on (when they did there check). Located it, turned on and hey presto working tv without needing anything else. cheets again jon
  6. HELLLLLPPPPPP! My tv is driving me nuts!! I've brought over my tv with built in digital and free view, it even has a setting for Australia! In our rental we have E-wire (cable) and I was told I could just plug a normal coaxle in and get the free channels without subscribing to e-wire or buying a box. When I've tried to do this and scan for channels I get nothing and it shows as I have a weak/or no signal. Does anyone know if I need something else? I need e-wire activated? Or is it my tele?? I also have a Foxtell point, I take it I can't just plug into this either?? Thanks in advance! Jon

  12. I'm a bit of a weights bunny, with a few high intensity circuits thrown in so that's why I want a gym but was also looking at getting a few bits at home.
