Hi guys, we will be moving to mandurah as soon as possible but not sure what the state schooling is like? I have bin told private is so worth it and a lot better, and also bin told the state schools are brilliant so no need for private schooling?? please any help would be appreciated, we love manudurah area but is the schooling good for my 5-6year old? we would consider different areas if the schooling is better this is so important for us, thankyou :-)

Hey guys, me and my hubby have two youg girls age 2 and 4, we are moving to perth soon as our visas geting granted, the hardest thing am finding is were to live, best schooling for when they start, reasonable rental prices as we are going to be renting for a while, not to far from a calm sea, lots of parks etc for us, lovely family friendly suberb, north or south?? my hubby will be doing fifo so can live anywere really, i no everybody has differnt views but your comments on were u live would be great, make our dicisson abit easier, we want to settle so geting wer we live right the 1st time is the most important, we have a budget of upto 600-650 a mnth, would like at least 3bedroom, a pool if possible but def a nice largish garden, thankyou

am intrested to hear too its on my short list were to live with a 2 and 4 year old , were we live needs to be right! x

hi there, we are moving as soon as our visa gets granted, we can live any wer in perth our main concern is wer to live?? we are a family of four, two girls age 2 and 4, my hubby will be worlking away at least 3weeks at a time so need a safe family suberb , dont like to be near a city but want to be near a beach, my hubby will be doing fifo so doesnt matter wer we live long as its nice and safe, want to settle and stay in oz so geting this right is very important thanks, p.s y did u leave oz?

hi kate, so sorry i got totally confused in your last post me asking questions about about fifo, i bet u thought what am i on about!ha. i thought u ment 4weeks wrking 4weeks off,i shown my hubby ur post and he started laughing said its fly in fly out, can i ask what shift patterns ur hubby will be wrking? my hubby is trying to get a job in perth were he gets at least two weeks off, doesnt mind having to work 3weeks. sorry again for the confusion rachel

Hi kate, my hubby is a pipe fitter supervisor who currently works on the rigs, but to get off shore in oz u have to be in oz i believe? he got offered a job on the mines but refused due to you have to stay with them for 2years and the working hours, so thats y we are doinbg our visas our selfs and then he can pick what job he wants rather than get a job just to get over ther, (the mines offered him a sponsership and we could be out ther in 4mnths)just tryong to find the right jobs to apply for now, ill check that out thanks kate

We havent bin yet but bin researching for months, so decided we will go in sept/oct for 3wks to look at wer we wana live etc, my hubby will go over 1st to get the house sorted then we will follow, do u think it is a place u could settle? i no its a beautiful place just hope we are settle dont want to move over ther to come bk at all! am sure we will make friends and be fine, my parents and so will my hubbys and our close family will come over and see us, it wil be quality time we spend together wont it, lifes to short we have to at least give it 110%!

thankyou, i wasnt sure if after u was granted the visa you got a date to enter, i see another post and someone said they was granted a visa but couldnt enter oz until sept just confused me abit?? do u think that was after they had ther police check and medical side bk? thats why asking yu all these questions.lol. wer hoping to be in perth this time next yr wer going in sept without the kids to see what suburb we wana live excited

because ov the weather it always cold,rainy etc so dont get much time to see the coast! mainly for our girls to have a decent up bringing, we are a out door family and want the best for them, lots of benefit scroungers grimsby /cleethorpes, lots of young people on drugs, dont want this for my girls so gona give perth a try, hopefully we will all settle and love it, just a shame you cant take your family with you isnt it
