  1. Hi Weston Clan, appreciate the information, thank you so much! Will definitely visit the migration office and congratulation to you!!!! If you have more information, I'd love to know more! Thanks!
  2. Thanks lozzachino! Yes, that means I really have to register since I have state sponsorship. Luckily, I have friends there and they have a spare room and they offered that we can stay with her until we find our own house. If we have no place to stay and the fact that I don't know what to do once we get there, I will really be so worried by now. Thanks guys for your inputs!
  3. Thanks Verystormy! We'll get medicare as soon as we land
  4. Hi, we are moving to Perth this coming September, we are holding a 190 visa and at the moment we only have our grant letter. I am totally clueless, as to what to expect and do once we reach Perth. Do we need to apply for any resident id or do we need to notify anybody? And when we apply for work, what do we need to show them as a proof that we are residents and eligible to work there? And are we able to rent a house once we arrive even though we do not have work at the moment? Appreciate your inputs:err: Thanks!
  5. Indeed! We are very happy because it was really fast!! Planning to go there by September.
  6. Hi @murray146 These were the documents that I've submitted to our CO: · Evidence of sharing accommodation, for example, joint ownership of housing, joint residential leases, joint rental receipts, joint household expenses (eg. utilities accounts). · Evidence of joint financial commitments, for example, joint assets and liabilities, sharing of income, operation of joint bank accounts over a period of time. · Evidence of official and/or private correspondence addressed to you and your partner jointly or individually at your common address. · Photographic evidence of the relationship e.g. joint travels, social events the couple attended etc. You can consider on preparing these evidences in case they require it from you
  7. Hi, mine was lodged last April 16, CO was assigned April 25th. Had our medical checks on May 10 and submitted our police clearances May 22. Our CO, requested for additional evidence of relationship (not so sure why, since we have already submitted our marriage certificate or could it be because I haven't use my husbands surname?!) Submitted the additional evidence last May 28. Haven't heard anything since then..
  8. Hi Cornishpoms! That's good news! Did your CO ask for more documents like police clearance and medical docs?
  9. Thanks ZoeCC! That's a relief! Do you mind me asking, how long did you manage to get a job? Was all the job application done online?
  10. Thanks Nick! Good for you that you were able to rent directly with the owner. So far, all the websites that I saw were all posted by agents. Once we move there, i'm not really sure where to stay (though I have friends staying at Wongan Hills) since only then we will look for a job.
  11. We've lodge our 190 visa application almost 2 weeks ago and still waiting for CO to be assigned.. It's nice to see that a lot of people getting their visa approved and mostly for toolmakers/plumbers/electrician/etc. I'm so nervous as my field is Human Resource. Anybody here has the same field as mine and got their visa approved?:ssign2: Btw, in case visa granted, do we need to be employed first before we can rent a house?? VETASSES 21/1/13; IELTS 9/3/13; state sponsorship 4/4/13; LOI 5/4/13; Visa 190 lodged 12/4/13
