I added all my documents to the online system as they requested them. I then got sent an email from a CO to my email account asking for our medicals to be completed within 28days. However we needed to add our new born which they kindly assisted with. Now it's medicals for all of us and hopefully it can be approved!!

Congrats on the new baby Nemos!!!!

As I patently wait for a CO, Im reviewing the docs attached to my application to make sure they have everything I think they need.

So for children I see they need a 'family book' as evidence of being in the family. I had assumed a birth cert showing parents name would be ok. What did you provide for this?

Birth certs we don't have family books here in Ireland

Hi Caz - that's what I though (also from Ireland). So do you add bc twice, once as evidence for bc and second time as family evidence?

Might be a silly question but moving into 8th week waiting for CO with no feedback; starting to get frustrated with this whole process!

Thank you DavidM. Sorry for the late reply, I just submitted the birth certificate as we don't have family books in the UK either. I have found with the online system you often need to submit the same document several times as evidence for the different sections, but as long as you attach it under the right section it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Hopefully you will get a CO shortly, good luck with the application.

Hi

We finally got allocated a CO after 6 weeks and 2 days, we have had medicals but unfortunately I had to get a further report and X-rays before submitting reports as I have a congenital hip disorder. Fingers crossed!! I hope they don't decline us because of this... Stressful ?

Well done JANDH believe me you are VERY lucky, 10 weeks tomorrow and still no word for me.

CAZ hi still no CO yet although im pleased for JANDH I think the system is unfair leaving people in suspense for this long I really am beginning to think something is amiss

I agree Andy that it is unfair - there needs to be more transparency particularly in terms how they prioritise and medicals being referred. People spend so much money and are making life changing decisions! I have everything crossed for you and hope that you will hear something soon.

visa granted this morning . I was never assigned a CO after 11 weeks waiting my agent rang and said the visa had been granted , very relieved but worn out with all the waiting. thank you each and every one of you who have commented or liked this thread. this whole journey started on 25th july 2012 when I sat my first IELTS in Manchester and finally now I have an answer. The journey begins now.
