mummytummy
We used Torfx, other half sorted it, no charges with them and got 1.61 at time we transferred over, we did get a $20 charge at this end but have easily got that back in interest on the account, we're with NAB. Candygirl
We use Moneycorp. Have done so for the last 5 years or so. You are not charged to use their services, they make their money by the difference in the mid rate and the rate that they can offer to you. Nikkis2000
Interesting. I just had a chat with a girl from moneycorp and she said there was a flat charge of £15 for telephone transfers for large amounts. John could you confirm?
John From Moneycorp
Hi, There is no fee/charge for Perth Pom forum members - please mention you are a forum member or I can ask one of the team to give you a call (private message me your number). Nikkis2000
Oh ok - even better!! I opened an account but not quite ready to transfer so I'll mention it next time I speak to you guys! Thanks!
ROB T
Hi John, I have recently opened an account with you guys but have been delaying a purchase of $AUD for a while now in anticipation of more favourable rates. Surely $1.70+ is now only a matter of time?? Rob
John From Moneycorp
Hi Rob An idea could be to look at the different ways you can buy your currency - best to have a chat with your Account Manager on the best way forward. Some information can be found here - http://moneytransfer.pomsinoz.com/various-ways-to-buy-currency.html Thanks John
