deanandkay
Hello, We are looking to move to the Palmyra, Melville area. Does anyone out there on the interweb has any feedback on holiday rentals, and the suburbs in general? Cheers
ali
Melville is a great shire - biased opinion as we fall into that shire too. Don't really know Palmyra though

fifi69
Like you we too chose the Melville area, cos it was close to work. IMO who wants to be stuck in traffic when you get home to the pool or take your bottle of wine to the beach or river instead:jiggy: its a great suburb, older style housing though, but a lot have been renovated, and there is a few new ones about. Its got everything you need on your doorstep. Bars, cafes, shops. 20mins to the CBD, 10 to the beach, 5 to the river. Garden City Shopping centre is very close by too. for us I would say its being so close to the river that's one of the best things. One way or another I am there every day. Either walking the dogs, having BBQs with friends, kayaking, or just heading there with said bottle of wine and watching the dolphins swim past:smile: You will also have the benefit of living near me, so always a party to be had come the weekend:biggrin:
deanandkay
We have chosen Melville as Dean has secured a job in O'Connor, so we can find our feet while looking for a longer lease rental. Trying to find some websites with holiday rentals on, that aren't over priced atm. There is 6 of us altogether, so not easy finding a place that is big enough. Can anyone send us links? We have airbnb.co.uk and ozhouserentals.com under our belt so far. Cheers
fifi69
Sorry iPad not letting put links up, but I've just looked at http://www.stayz.com.au and they have a few properties that sleep 6+, the cheapest and nearest to O,Connor would be the house at Kardinya. if you were willing to go a bit more "basic" you could look at Fremantle Village caravan park. They have a range of different chalets for rent. The park is used by both people on holidays and ones there more short/long term. all the best
