Im coming out to Perth in October from UK, and will hopefully get a bit of biking action depending how quickly I find work.

What sort of biking are into? Just road riding or trackdays, or offroad and MX?

What is the racing scene like out there? Is there an amateur superbike or supermoto series? Not sure I can survive without a bit of racing.

Hubby and I found it boring riding here, summers way to hot way way to hot felt like a chicken in a magi bag and the roads well yet to find a twisty bit .............

But then we were spoilt with the roads back in Wales. Good luck though

You're doing it wrong then! I ride all year round here, also I know plenty of twisty bits, but cannot reveal my secrets on here! ;-)

It's true the roads are no where near as interesting as UK, but we're not in UK now so make the most of what's here! Continual comparisons to UK are pointless IMO!

Would love to get out on the bike but its currently at the garage afder I got knocked off filtering last Monday night on the way home smashed the bike up to say I'm gutted just doesn't cover it my lovely brand new GSXR 1000

i expect that it should be back within the next two weeks

As someone that would do 15-20 track days a year in the UK I'm starting to think what's the point in having a bike here let's face it people on the road here are just mad they all want to race you (this could be becouse I'm riding a sports bike?) also the roads aren't that good a mate tells me all the time "we can build a road quick or we can build it flat, but we can not build a flat road quickly"

and having said all that I don't think I'm over riding the bike just yet

I haven't done any yet here in WA yet there is only one track so if track days are your thing then you may need something else to keep you occupied lolMy brothering laws girlfriends dad is a bike cop here and filtering is OK the thing that gets the cops going here when filtering is if you keep changing lane on a wim with out indicating as if you have a 3rd lane in the middle of the cars if you get what I mean that's what he told me any way It's odd tho I have a friend at work that got stopped on his bike by the cops the first thing the cop said was why did you stop he said "we'll you have the lights going so I guessed you wanted me to stop" the cop said that bikes routenley ride off becouse of the no chase policy when it comes to motorbikes lol

They do hide the speed camera's very well! They have both front & rear facing cameras now as well!

Perth actually had more than one track, if you do some research, there's another down at Collie, and I think the RAC have a track but not sure where that is? But no-where near the quality of UK!
