Wasps1976
Hi all. I am in need of help. I have a wonderful job offer which I may have to turn down as I am fearful about finding a house that will allow three dogs. I am not sure of suburbs but my job is in peppermint grove? Any help advise will be so gratefully received
Arwen
You will struggle. The majority of suburban councils will require a permit for more than 2 dogs. I know people who have struggled to get a rental with a cat let alone 3 dogs.
Bibbs
As above, most suburbs have a 2 dog limit. You can get a licence for more, but you need to have a valid reason (i.e. working dogs) and then get approval from the council/neighbours etc. I believe is you are out in remote areas, you can have more. PaulandDeb
Working in one area does not mean you have to live there also, even though it would be nice. Two dog limits in most WA suburbs, but like as been said before anymore and you need a real good reason, good luck. One more thing our first rental here had a dog authorisation in the clauses but no actual amount was specified.
basicweb
As has been said, most shires will only allow 2 dogs, you have to apply for a permit for any more. I do know of one person that managed to do this in Rockingham, I don't know about other shires. Will the dogs be coming over straight away, or will they be behind you and then in quarantine first. Maybe look at taking a short term rental first, this will give you chance to look at areas, and approach Shires in different areas that may suit you. If you have the permit first you may find it easier to get a rental that will take all 3. Oh and Peppermint Grove is going to be expensive! you may want to look a little further afield and travel. Good Luck Tracey Dear all thank you all for your comments, I am beginning to get stressed by it all, it feels such a risk to travel so far to have this problem. Maybe having a permit first might be the way too go. I agree with you about not bring able to afford peppermint grove prices and I am happy to travel. My commute for work at the moment is over an hour. Would anyone know of any agents/ private rentals that would take three dogs with a permit? Wasps1976
Wonderful job, working in one of the most affluent suburbs in Perth, chance of a lifetime..... three dogs problem..... thought of using Gumtree and freeing yourself? I agree with you about it being a chance of a lifetime, because it is. But there is no way that we would give the dogs up, they are battersea dogs home rescue staffies. Who both my husband and I adore and if it means that we stay put in the UK then so be it. It's a real shame
