Monkeylloyd
Hi everyone, my husband and I have a camp let trailer tent! We are considering shipping it over with our stuff, has anyone brought one over or is it easier to sell and buy over there. Also do tents over there have sealed awnings (to prevent creepy crawlies getting in) as our trailer tent does not! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.xxxx:biggrin:
Lou8670
Hi Monkeylloyd. I have no experience of camping in Australia but I've seen posts on PP that Aussie tents do have built in ground sheets to keep out the creepy crawlies and it can be a pig to clean your tent before shipping - it needs to be pristine and will get checked by all accounts! We're still not sure wether to ship our tent. It has built in ground sheets for the 3 bedroom pods but if We camp there is think I would change it so may leave it here and not bother shipping it; jut ship the cool box, camping table etc
Chardy
Built in ground sheets and mozzie nets are a must for the whole tent in my opinion so we bought here. Got a 12 man tent for $399 so very happy. I'd sell the trailer tent as it will be a lot of hassle getting it approved etc this end.

Plimthing
Jeez that looks like one of those contraptions they use in the film 'Independence day' for checking out the damage caused by a nuclear weapon!! VW Kombi is much more aesthetically pleasing!!
