I have a great sense of humour just no-one to appreciate it. We live in Atwell 25 mins south of Perth. Please email me if interested. Thanks lisa p.s. come from Norfolk in the UK.

Hi Lisa.

I'm not in perth yet otherwise i would have been up for meeting up for a coffee or something stronger! There have been lots of people on here recently looking for to make new friends so hopefully someone will offer to meet up with you. I may be in a similar position early next year, although my kids are a little younger.

Good luck!

Lou :)

Hi Lou. Now gonna start searching the website thought I would put mine on there first so people can choose me. Do you know where your going to be living ? And if you are near me please don't hesitate to contact me. It doesn't matter if your kids are younger I'm more interested in finding people that I click with. Good luck with your move. Lisa

Hiya,

Me and my family moved a month ago and are living SOR in Canning Vale. I like to do coffee and cake without the coffee and are looking for new friends. I'm 32 originally from Sunderland. I'm married to Gary and have two boys. Tommy (2) and Henry (4 months). Interested in nights out, play dates for the kids, beach trips, shopping, wine, cinema and generally having a good time. I'm quite talkative and easy going with some interesting life experiences and would love to make new memories with new friends. If you're interested in meeting up give me a shout.

Cheers, Ayshe. x

Hi, I only joined this forum yesterday and having been really impressed by how friendly everyone is. I am 45 and moving early next year with my husband and 18 year old daughter. Do not know anybody and leaving my two sons aged 22 and 24 in UK (Their choice) . One thing I was so worried about was opportunity to make new friends, as was so much easier when children were taken to school. Not sure where we will settle intially, but any newbies to Perth keep in touch, as I am sure I could do with some new friends when we arrive. :cute:

Hi

Definately keep in touch with me as more friends the merrier. We live south of the river which is 20-25 mins from everything. If you need any tips on anything just let me know as there would of been things that I would of done differently. Must be hard leaving your children behind but it is only a flight away and can be together within 24hrs. And with Facebook and Skype its amazing his you can still kept in touch. Well you know where I am if you need anything.

Thanks Lisa

Hi Lou

How are you finding Yangebup? I've been looking there as a potential area to settle as its closer to Freo and Perth than Rockingham, where my SIL is based and property doesn't look too bad; close to the beach too! What's the catch?

Hi Lou

We are in the area because my aunty & uncle live here we are renting house across the road from them ( my cousins) they have lived here for over 20 years and never had any problems there are rough parts but i havnt come across them . It is really close to everything that we need beaches at Coogee and Woodmans point are great for the kids waves not too big Freo is only 15 minutes drive and the city about 25 mins on a clear run. The train station is 5 minutes away and a huge shopping centre Gateways is the same which they are currently expanding. We are looking at buying in the area either Yangebup Beeliar or Hammond Park. We like Atwell Success and Aubin Grove but houses too expensive for our budget which is a pity because the schools there are fab.

Ours go to South Coogee but we may move them to Mater Christi which is private only about $2000 for both to go for the whole year, and some of the boys my son plays soccer with go there. I have worked at Yangebup primary a few days and it seems fine but is an older school so a bit run down.

Hope that helps

Lou

Hi Lisa my name is Jen. Myself, my partner and 2 daughters (2 and 7) moved out here last may. We also live in Atwell. Would be great to meet for coffee/after school catchups. Pm me if you fancy organising something :)

Jen

Hi Jen that would be lovely to meet up. Not sure if its too late notice but I have actually arranged a meeting this Friday at 9.30am at the IGA coffee shop in Hammond park opposite the quarrie. If you could make it that would be great. I have invited up to six people I think. Let me know. Also I will send you my mobile no via pm so you have got it for future contact thanks lisa

A fellow Yangebupun! Didn't think there were many English folk around in this area. We bought a little while ago due to it being one of the very few places left not a million miles from the City that still had houses on decent sized blocks for under $500k. It's the perfect little first time buyer enclave we think. Which part of Yangebup are you? We are down off Williambsbury Drive and we find it very quiet and everyone seems friendly (neighbours came and introduced themselves which is the first time we've had anyone do that!)

Round the corner then! We've been in Perth around 2 and a half years now, but moved to Yangebup at the beginning of 2013 after renting in the City. No kiddies just yet, just crept over the 30 mark so still in denial that we have plenty of time for that!
