Bridges
I know each case is different but i was just wondering what the average time was that people waited after having their police and medical checks. We've only just had ours but hoping this is the last hurdle and next communication will be the invite, i May be wrong but here's hoping! Zena
Hi there. Husband and I had our medical checks about 10 days ago. Now just waiting for the final OK from the immigration case officer. Been told that it can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks to hear about your visa, once medical has been submitted. Hate waiting. . . ! Sold house, booked flights so it better be OK! Zena

aligard
Hi, We've just lodged all our docs but haven't heard from a case officer yet. It's over 5 weeks since we were given TRN and have been super busy attaching docs etc. When should we get to hear from a case offficer?? Can't wait now! Thanks for all replies
nikkiwd
aligard, you will only hear from the case officer if they need something, we never heard anything until the email with 'visa granted' on it! that took 7 weeks from lodgement for 190 visa
flatpack
We too only heard from our CO when they wanted something, (form 80), next time it was the grant email. Not sure on time line from medical as we front loaded everything but it's all in my sig below!

flatpack
August for us, our daughter is 2 at the end of July and the OH wants her to have it with family here, we have to be in before the 23rd of August. Probably booking the flights this weekend:jiggy:
aligard
Hi Nikkiwd- Yes we had our medicals last week and police checks are now uploaded too....so now i guess its a waiting game....find it strange that there isn't a lodge button to press once you have all the doc uploaded and put together....i guess they must have a system in place that tells them what stage your at ??? May sounds good and exciting....you'll not be getting all hot and bothered when your running around getting settled in !! Before you know it you'll be setting off to catch that plane Flatpack- Oh i bet your excited at the thought of booking your plane tickets, who ya thinking of booking with ? Will this be your daughters first plane trip ? We are hoping to go sometime around the end of August/Sept, we'll see
flatpack
Hi Flatpack- Oh i bet your excited at the thought of booking your plane tickets, who ya thinking of booking with ? Will this be your daughters first plane trip ? We are hoping to go sometime around the end of August/Sept, we'll see Singapore are coming in the cheapest and they do extra baggage for migrants! Our daughter is a right jet setter, she's been to Oz twice and Tenerife. Granted that one of the times she flew to Oz she was still inside her mum but never the less! nikkiwd
Aligard I think once you have a case officer they just look through and start to process the application and check the docs when they come on, some of ours changed to 'received' a couple of days after uploading but the last batch of uploads never changed. I'm sure the next 6 months will go quick enough but I'm just so impatient! been at this malarkey since February so the sun can't come soon enough! It is such a weight off when you get the visa grant email though, you'll see soon enough:biggrin: I'm trying to make sure we get the right flight departure times as I have a two (3 when we leave) year old mischief maker son who will be a nightmare to fly with if tired/bored so I think an evening flight is best so he sleeps through the biggest chunk of flying, that's the idea anyway! Flatpack my daughter has been twice to oz as well and same as you, the first was in my tum! (she was conceived there!)
aligard
Its all very exciting....We have twin boys aged 8 so we all have our hands full then lol. We'll all have to meet up some time when we make it over there, I'm sure we'll have lots of stories to tell lol.

rickandange
Bigangel that's great news. We had ours on 25th Oct at bridgewater so here's hoping we're not to far behind x We had our medicals at the Bridgewater on 21st and are still waiting to hear back. Everything was uploaded by our agents that week, so fingers crossed we get a result too. This last leg seems to be the hardest in terms of waiting! I can't stand it, ha ha! x
