Hey every1, new to here as we are in Adelaide.

We have been here in Australia for 2 years now after moving over from Scotland. Have done our 2 years state sponser and are now keen to make the move over to the west.

Just wondering if anyone on here had done this move also and had any advice regarding the move like the best way to get furniture over etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ross and Teri

thats ok cheers Adjutant, is Baldivis a nice spot to live by the way?

It's a distance out the city. A lot of the area is still being built.

The basics are there (shops, fast food, roads) and most, if not all, the houses are new. Other stuff will follow after.

Think of it as "work in progress".

We've a few friends who live there. They seem to enjoy it.

It is a nice spot and a well planned area with lots of parks around the place. The older parts are a bit nicer as more trees were retained in the planning, whereas a lot of the new areas were bull dozed flatt, so not a tree to be seen - just roof after roof.

I work in the city at it take me about 50 minutes door to door, catching the bus to the train station then train in.

We also like being south of the city as its much easier for weekend breaks down to the south west towns for weekend breaks, wineries etc. Not too much to go to up north.

Hi we are in the same position as you guys. Been in Adelaide for two years and now cause of our state sponsorship we are free to move. The dream was always Perth and in my heart that is where I want to be. My hubby is a plumber and I work in childcare, we too are looking at baldivis, port Kennedy etc all down south. Going in the new year for our second visit and to look at schools for the kids. Where abouts in Adelaide are you?
