Emmiejay
Just about to take my documents to a solicitor to be certified ready for submission to ANMAC for skills assessment. Would it be wise to get a couple of copy's for visa application? Also does any one have any idea on what needs certifying for visa app, I.e. do I need to get photocopies of everything ( passports, marriage licence, kids birth certs) it's all so hard isn't it? I've got so much sorting to do, I also have a 16 year old who has never had contact with his real dad since he was 2 months old I changed his name by deed poll 5 years ago without having to get his real dads consent as it stated that I would have sole parental responsibility due to the lack of contact, just wandered if I would need consent to take him out of the country and if so would it just be a signed letter from the father or would solicitors need to be involved. Sorry for the bombardment guys .
travelchic
I had to submit documents for my visa (190) as follows. Certified copy of passports, birth certificates (full) of everyone including any children being left behind, passport pictures, certified copy of my divorce decree, skills assessment, IELTS certificate, evidence of any custody arrangements for any children included in the visa application where one parent is not migrating including consent from the no migrating parent. I provided a stat dec from my sons father. i also had to include evidence of work which included a work reference (you should have that from your ANMAC assessment), as well as 4-6 payslips for each year claiming, p60 for each year, and a copy of my contract. All of these needed to be certified. I assume if you are doing it yourself then it will tell you on the DIAC website what they want. I'm using an agent and just send my things as requested. If I think of anything more i will let you know. hope this helps. debs
beandownunder
we have only just lodged our visa so can't tell you if what we have done is correct but were told if we sent colour copies they wouldnt need certifying. here's hoping that was good advice but I'm sure it was as it was from various lovely Perth poms xxx good luck, I would imagine for anmac they would need certified though, J x
jennyweaver
Hiya I can tell you I copied 3 of most of the forms needed for ANMAC .That was so that I had a few for later, natch. When sending forms for Visa, you can scan certified copies over so that saves on copies you may 'lose' by sending off to various places. A bEEEG tip is to ask ANMAC to send your forms to the Nursing Board once they are done with them. It is a free service and the Nursing Board (for example I asked mine to be sent to Perth site) will keep them for up to two years until you are ready to apply there. It seems daunting but read things thru carefully and you will keep your head above water. Hubby and kiddo's medicals flew through; I am just waiting for my medical to be assessed and then the visa should follow. I think it is cos I am South African so have extra scrutiny on the CXR... Let me know how you progress. And good luck
Emmiejay
Thanks for all the info, it's been a long way here to this point and doing it without an agent is a bit daunting but want to save all the penny's we can. Just gonna get everything certified to be safe. I'm not claiming points for experience so hopefully won't need p60s. It is frustrating that after 16 years I have to seek permission from a man whom has had no role in my sons life, that is even if I can locate him oh well onwards and upwards, these things are sent to test us. travelchic
I just want to add that I used an agent and sent all of my ANMAC docs to him and I am unsure of wether he used some of the docs from that to forward for my visa application. Check the website if unsure. With regards to your son, run it by an agent to be sure. My son has daily contact with his dad so my circumstances are different. Good luck. nikkiwd
Hi there, beandownunder is right, you dont need docs to be certified for the visa application, we just scanned everything on our colour scanner and uploaded onto the application online. We were granted the visa so it must have been acceptable.
Emmiejay
It would be so much easier if all I have to do is colour scan them, thanks for the help guys much appreciated. With regards to my son apparently will not have to contact his dad, as he is 16 years old and he can vouch that he has never had contact with his father we can go down the absent father route????? We will see. I'm sure I will have more questions for you all very soon this site is great don't know what I would do without it.
verystormy
I would consult an agent about your son. You will require the fathers consent or be prepared to go to court to gain the courts consent. There is a form the father would need to complete if he is willing to give consent.
