Richard Stevenson
Hi im going to be visiting my brother during June and July of 2014 during my break from university and as he will be working as normal it would be good if I was able to meet some people who are "sporty", I'd also like to try and get a few games for anyone who may be in need of a player during this time. does anyone have any ideas of where I can look? as you can imagine I have no idea how the leagues work out there!!! thanks
portlaunay
Hi, welcome to PP. I've no personal experience but there's an advert on the radio at the moment about finding a game to play in. I'll try to remember what it is but in the meantime this site is pretty good for finding clubs; http://www.myfootballclub.com.au/index.php?id=63 Edit: I presume you meant soccer? ali
You will have to register with a club and pay a fee - you won't be able to play in anything other than a friendly kick about (at 11 a side). You would be able to train with a club though.
Richard Stevenson
Hi guys thanks for getting back to me, and to confirm it is soccer I mean by football. :-) ive been in contact with someone who is involved with a club and the running of a WA football website who has suggested I'd be able to get a game somewhere as long as an international transfer certificate can be gained in time, however the WA football authorities may not be the quickest at processing these..... ive be been throughout he process in the last from England to wales and back again and it went through quipu icily then but understandably it may be more difficult given the distances involved, anyway, fingers crossed it will come off!! worst case scenario, as mentioned, I can train and atleast get some football in!! jamesw
If you are in the Mandurah area, Peel United run an internal 11 a side competition on a Wednesday night. As it is an internal competition, I can find you a team to play for within the competition
