We've got friends over from the UK for a few weeks but we'd def be up for meeting end of March. We've been in our new place for over a week now and its so quiet and lovely here. abbs Posted February 16, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 Dear All, Following on the success of our last night out to the High Road Tavern a few weeks ago, I am pleased to announce we will be returning there this Friday the 21st to sample their hospitality. Our last social there was so good, none of us wanted to go home in fact the only way they could get rid of us was take our chairs away and close the pub. Meet time will be around 8.30 in the beer garden. All welcome!! For those of you unfamiliar with the High Road Tavern it is on High Road in Riverton. It was demolished last week to make way for yet another unwanted Coles Supermarket!!! Massive local opposition but Coles wouldn't listen of course. Such a shame as it was a great venue. My OH and I are also from Bristol and are staying in Freo for 2 weeks so its a bit far for us.
