moss2oz
Confirmation that my visa application was received on 27th November. I didn't submit any documents with it and have had an email from them since to say that once a CO allocated then I will be asked for relevant documents. Am checking my emails daily and feeling a little anxious. I keep thinking something is going to go wrong ? I know they say it takes up to around 9 weeks for CO to be allocated and I have taken the Christmas break into consideration but just wondering if anyone has any words of positivity for me please. ? nikkiwd
once you submitted your visa application, you should then log in and start uploading all your documents before case officer is allocated. Some wait for the case officer to ask for meds and pcc's but everything else should be uploaded before. Which visa have you applied for? I think it's a little soon as taking Xmas into account it's about 6 weeks, also from mid December to end January it's the main Aussie summer holidays. I'd probably start getting anxious if you haven't heard by beginning of March TBH. This waiting game is torturous! Lou

I did log in but couldn't seem to upload them. I emailed them and they said to wait for CO allocation. I'll give it another few weeks or maybe call them. I'm not in a desperate rush but just keen to get things moving. thanks for the response.

I see on immi website that my closest one is Manchester but notice from a few threads that some are cheaper than others. Any advice welcome please. We are in Cumbria and could have gone to Edinburgh or Manchester however Edinburgh was £190 more expensive than Manchester! it was a no brainer! we used medmigration at Bridgwater clinic and they were brilliant. family of five were in and out in 70 minutes- full medicals for us all(which I didn't expect for kids) with addition of bloods and X-rays for me and OH. Dr Smith was very efficient and friendly to us all. They uploaded results that day to DIAC. Good Luck, Bean xx

DyLeB
Bridgewater Clinic in Manchester is the cheapest that I have seen people speaking about. I did mine in Edinburgh at a Spire Hospital, many places are spire hospitals.

I was checking my emails every day so I know how you feel. It seemed like forever. I think you're right to take into account the Christmas break. You'll probably find that once your CO is allocated your visa could be granted very soon after because you have uploaded everything already. I've got mine and my boys medicals on 17th February because I didn't want to take them out of school earlier. Whereabouts are you from? Who are you going to Perth with? Good to hear from you. They replied saying I didn't need to and that my CO would ask for them when allocated. got the email on 17th January from Brisbane asking me for all the documents from the case Officer. That was my first contact from him. He probably thinks I'm a bit crazy because I replied calling him 'my new best friend'! I live in Middlesbrough - not far at all! My sister lives in Beeliar, south of Perth, not far from Fremantle so I'll stay with her for a few months and then hopefully get a rental nearby. I haven't even put my house on the market yet but I'm still thinking something might go wrong, such a pessimist I know. I am hoping to go in September once my eldest has had his GCSE results and prom over with, etc. My youngest is finishing primary school this year so is quite a good time for both of them. Just me and the boys are going, I divorced recently. Keep me informed Michelle and am sure you will hear soon. Debbie x
Shelll
Hi Debbie, We are going over with friends, who started their visa 10 weeks b4 we did, and there visa got granted within 6 weeks, they didn't even no they had a case officer or heard anything from them as they had uploaded everything required, so we knew exactly what we needed to upload everything within 2 days of paying so I am hoping that we get our visas within a few months too as we were keen to all Go together so we just took the gamble and booked our flights for the 28th April. We spoke to the visa people who said they have to give 6 month time frame but will hopefully be sorted by then as it will of been 5 months by that date, they said worse case we will have to apply for a visiting visa and our visa will b granted no later than 4 weeks after we arrive there ( but that's just worse case ) hopefully we will hear something over next 5 weeks, fingers crossed. were looking at tapping we have a holiday rental booked for 6 weeks and will b looking for long te rental around this area. im pretty sure your visa will be well sorted by September as long as there is no problem with your documents you need to send. It was a right headache with all husbands work history and 10 yrs of bank statements and employer references but we got them all sorted b4 we even applied for the visas and attached them all straight away. have you supplied everything they require from you now? hope you hear soon and good luck, keep me posted xxxx

They haven't asked me for that. Just looking at the 'request checklist' they sent me and it doesn't say anything about that Ive got medicals booked for 17th Feb and they have said not to send docs until I have everything all at once. That's great that you're going with friends. Am sure you will hear shortly and visa granted before you go. Let me know and good luck to you guys. moss2oz
Ok so just wondered how long people have waited from uploading the docs to receiving visa confirmation? I uploaded them all nearly two weeks ago and am still waiting to hear. As the days go by I feel less and less confident and worry that I might get an email saying it's been denied. I see see from some people that it only took a few days after the CO had all the docs. I'm checking my emails daily and feeling frustrated. The 'for sale' board has just gone up in the garden and I've started telling people we're going but will be devastated if something were to happen now. Surely if all the meds and police checks are fine there shouldn't be a problem?

Hi moss, i feel your frustration, we lodge our application and every document needed on the 13th dec and we got our visa grant certificate on the 10th feb. We never heard off a case officer as they had everything they needed however when we rang the week before we received visa grant email they informed us that a case officer was onto our application, I believe it takes 5-6 weeks to you are assigned a case officer and if they have everything you won't hear off them so therefore won't even no you ever had one. hope you hear something soon but 6-8 weeks is prob a good time scale to go off, our friends also took 7 weeks but we had Xmas holidays in our times. best if luck X
