GreigT
Hi All, For those who are yet to arrive in Australia, we found when registering for Medicare today that you now need your UK passport AND your NHS card or your E111 card. Is this True??
Lou8670
Hi All, For those who are yet to arrive in Australia, we found when registering for Medicare today that you now need your UK passport AND your NHS card or your E111 card. Is this True?? Eh? We have a UK passport but not an NHS card or E111 - we don't live in the UK!
ali
What visa is it for? Temporary Visa may require proof of residency. I thought E111 was for travel in Europe?
flatpack
E111 doesn't even exist any more as it's changed to the EHIC (European health Insurance Card). By it's very name, I struggle to see why the Aussies would want to see it. Edit: Just been reading up on the EHIC and it replaced the E111 in 2005! Walkabout
I applied for ours in December and just needed our passports and visa grant letters, I would perhaps try a different office if they are being funny, most people don't have NHS cards and there is no requirement for you to have the EHIC cards (even if you do travel to Europe!). Hope you managed to get it sorted.
