I got a Beetle, 1302S with its roof chopped off, soft top was stolen so i'm buying a new roof. At present, engine in bits trying to remove the flywheel! Its tight! Broke 1 ratchet and bent 2 tommy bars and still doesnt budge with a 2metre extension!! HELP!!

Probably not the right thread for all that, but needed to tell the world.

Snap-On breaker bar and a length of galvanised pipe. Failing that a torque leverage tool. They can be pricey but they're worth it.

You're right though, this might not be the right forum for such questions but I'm sure there's a Zone out there for you

What are your plans for it? If our house sale goes through then there's a Razor Edge or a 914 with some reserved drive space.

If he's having a nightmare with it it may be best leaving it as I am a firm believer that they'll do it when they are ready. It's not worth the agro IMO

Thanks porty, will have to get that book! need all the help I can get.

Lou he is happy to go to the toilet himself for a wee, he even got up yesterday morning and ran to the toilet, pulled his pull-up down and had a wee, the pull up was still dry after having it on all night! he will get there with the poo but it may take a while, had the same issue with my daughter.

Nikki, I had the same problem with my eldest. He was very keen to learn but just couldn't judge his no. 2s so I waited another few months and tried again. He mastered it in a couple of days and was dry immediately at night too. Might be worth waiting a couple more months.

How can you talk about poo and a Mars bar cake in the same post? They visually seem too similar for comfort. Urhhhhhh!!!!!

Ha ha. My sister made me a cakes once to take into work. Cupcakes with big swirly poo's on the top. Looked disgusting. Tasted gorgeous. Coz I work in GI endoscopy everyone in work thought they were great. Could just eat one of them right now but I can't as I've given up cakes, biscuits, sweets and chocolate for lent. Only another 38 days to go. Aarrrggghhh.

It didnt budge with 2 metres extension so i'm taking it to work and using some heavy duty gear on it!

The plan was to sell it when built but you know how it is, you kind of get attatched to them don't you! It is really nice to drive around in with no roof! Maybe not when its 44 degrees!

Are you seeling your razor and 914??

Ex Beetle owner too - just wondering if the flywheel is reverse threaded, can't remember which way it turns though ?!

I'm currently sat on the sofa searching for employment on seek. This has practically been my ritual since arriving 4 weeks ago.

Best of luck SP.

I am sitting in front of a year 10 science class on a cover lesson. They are working in silence on a practise exam paper and I have just finished my marking. Thought I would take a cheeky peek at PP whilst wait I for the bell to ring!

It is great looking around the room as it is full of biology displays stuff. I can see photos of embryos on my left and weird things in jars on my right. Straight in front of me the sun is pouring in through the window, blue skies. Ahhhh, almost the weekend. It feels nearly like beer o'clock time!
