After seeing Doctor + waiting time from 19.30-midnight (oh and Erin spewing up all over my wife's clothes at reception) we were finally sent up to Paediatric ward as the Doctor was concerned about high heart rate. They did one or two things and also gave her some medication which brought temp & high heart rate down eventually. We were finally sent home at 4.30, got to bed at 5 then we were woken up at 6 with her throwing up all over cot. After that managed to grab a few hours kip but now feel pants. We were told if it happens again in the next 72 hours we would be fast tracked through the system. We get a bit worried with the high temp as my Nephew started fitting as a result of that last year.

Thanks all for comments.

She'll be right Matey. Thoughts are with you and your Family.

Bought lambs liver this week in Coles and it wasn't what I expected. It was sold as 'lamb fry' in a vacuum pack in the chilled section. Looked like liver so went for it but felt suspicious of it as it had a different name. Also, it was at the end of the meat section next to where it turns into pet food. Can't get used to that, rather off putting seeing them next to each other. I bet someone has bought dog food by mistake. Hope it wasn't me.

Tonight I planned to cook it as my mum always did, mash, fried onions, and bacon with gravy. I used to love that when I was a kid.

I cooked everything else first and left the liver to last as shortest cooking time. I prepared the seasoned flour to toss the thin slivers in and then opened the pack. Out fell an enormous whole liver, complete with connective tissue. It looked like I had walk into a scene from Silent Witness. Thank heavens my children didn't see it because they would never eat it again. It turned my stomach but I proceeded to do the autopsy myself and finely sliced it, then pan fried. As we ate it, I felt like Hannibal Lecter. Not sure I will ever eat it again, put me right off. However, I don't think I'll be able to resist calf's liver with sage butter in a proper Italian restaurant. Heavenly.

You will think this is gross, but as a kid I worked in a slaughter house and would herd in the animals, help dispatch them, then grab a liver - still warm - and fry it up for brekkie. The plus is that I have never had a issue with hunted food (which I consider far more ethical)

Good on you. Gross to most of us but honest.

They did this experiment to see if this was an urban myth. Whether fresh liver when place on a plate would move of its own accord towards a saucer of milk. It does! It was explained logically but I just have images of Hammer House Of Horror scenes, with crawling severed hands. Now that is gross.

Right now I have just opened a sacred bottle of MYTHOS Greek beer and savoring every sip. I came across them in a bottle shop in Port Kennedy the other day thought I had died and gone to heaven but knew I had not really gone to heaven as I am a Pagan and there is no such place lolol

Yes I have had more than one bottle too :cute:

Oh, wow, yes! Haven't had this since we left London and forgotten how good it is until now.

Obviously there are lots of fan Italian restaurans in Freo but I've not seen it on the menu. I'm going to ask for it when we go out next week, cheers honey.
