Just getting up after about the 14th night of just a few hours kip with my daughter teething, has a cold & continually grinding her teeth in the night. I'm hoping for some improvement from her for the flight.

Finished work today after 10years service, the next week will be very busy seeing family and friends then this time next week we'll be all checked in and waiting for our flight! Still doesn't quite seem real!

I know how you feel I finished work on wed after 15 yrs was a strange feeling, I took voluntary redundancy so got a month off now before we go on 22nd Jan. Have a lovely christmas and good luck with your plans for the future! Exciting times ahead for us all

Been researching how to make almond croissants from scratch. Seems like such a Phaff that I might make the supposedly traditional ones that use day old croissants, dipped in syrup and filled with the homemade almond paste, then baked.

Third option is not to bother and just get plain ones from Coles.

The Wild Bakery in Freo does the most amazing breads and their AC's are lovely. I know it's a bit of a trek but why not come down for brekkie and pick up a bag to take home? They're at the South Freo growers market tomorrow morning so you could also pay a visit to Grace and Albert and grab some of their lovingly grown veggies and a carton of their happy eggs? http://www.growersgreenfarmersmarket.com

If you go for the third option, go to Woollies or Bakers Delight.... both are far superior to Coles.

.... panicking as I don't think I will be ready for Christmas in time and I have a houseful to cater for! I was all organised and even had stamps on the cards ready to pop in the post when I had a call for help from close friends in Geraldton (Poms with no family in Oz) ..... pregnancy complications with number 2 which required hospitalisation of Mum to be... Little Miss 2 year old needed looking after and Dad couldn't be in three places at once (is a teacher with a graduating class and wanted to be with them as much as poss as well as with Mum to be...) So in "Surrogate Grandma" mode, jumped into my trusty motor and headed north..... Long story short.... 2 weeks later Mum and baby number 2 all OK (after emergency C Section) and now back home with Dad and Miss 2 year old... and I am back in Perth, totally shattered and with 3 days to do what I had planned to do over 2 and a bit weeks.....

Just having yet another restorative coffee and checking PP before I head out to pick up some more shopping........ thinking longingly of that glass of vino to be quaffed with dinner tonight!!
