They do grow up quick but they will always be your babies.

My 11 year son yesterday stood next to and confirmed for the first time he is actually taller than me now! I love it really. This beautiful boy is growing up but still comes to me for a cuddle and tells me regularly how much he loves me. We played rugby in the garden yesterday and as he ran with the ball, I was not only impressed by his shear power and force but also his gentleness when he came to tackle me. Growing into a fantastic young man. Love him so much!

....decorating the house for my eldests 18th birthday family dinner tonight. She has requested a proper roast dinner with Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings. I can't quite believe that this time 18 years ago on a snowy dark bleak West Yorkshire morning, I was dashing to hospital to have her.....time truly does fly......:)

Didn't read this yesterday as I was busy unpacking our stuff! Little Pea shares her birthday with Jimbo!!!

Happy Birthday - Hope she had a fab day and that meal went well!

I remember my youngest sons 18 th at the golf club, it was the year of the world cup when England stood a chance and that now famous song < someone will remember the title Frank Skinner and Baddle > anyway he seemed so grown up , so happy and just loving life on his way to uni, was that really 20 years ago ????

I'm sitting in the garage on a child's booster seat on the floor, to stop my bottom freezing on the concrete. I am perched here by the request of my 8 year old who wants to run on the jogging machine and needs supervising. As an enticement, he said I could bring my iPad with me and catch up on PP whilst he runs! He has run 4km in 28 mins non- stop, he puts me to shame.

I am supposed to be getting myself sorted for teaching first aid to a bunch of beavers tomorrow. Jonny can't wait. I can.

Have to teach cuts and grazes (that ones easy, liberated a bunch of dressings and bandages from work) and opening an airway. You just know that gonna be fun don't ya. I just knew when sunshine said to me 'you're a nurse aren't you?' I should have denied all knowledge!!

hey Debs, do you really mean you've got to teach them cuts and grazes? Do you give them sharp instruments to play with and encourage them to drag each other bare-legged over gravel???? Beets my cubs sessions, I usually make bows and arrows using bamboo canes or cook pancakes on upside down tin cans with candles underneath. Your session sounds much better!
