After a week of sorting stuff out in the house, I went shopping today on my own. last day before kiddy winks break up. Went to m&s to get bras and john Lewis to spend the vouchers my work gave me as a leaving present. Ended up choosing a pair of beautiful silver grey, fresh water pearl earrings. Something I would never treat myself to, ordinarily. Feels indulgent! :cute:

Good luck with the sale. Even when people say they have limited funds, usually they have a bit more in reserve. No harm in saying you understand their situation but you were hoping for a little more as a big drop. That way you are not saying no, completely and then scaring them off but giving them an opportunity to come back with a better offer. No harm in asking.

I can not believe it We have had an offer on the shop !!!! we have the weekend to mull it over as it is way lower than we wanted but me thinks we may take it.

Odies sometimes you just have to go with the flow..... sometimes you can hang on for more and end up with even less! Good luck with the decision making.

It is good news, and as some others are saying, sometimes we just have to accept what we can get and that can sometimes work out for the best. When we moved over, we had to sell the house to one of them companies that guaruntee to buy your house - but at 20% less than the value. We had no choice. But, a month later the GFC hit and it was then worth less than we had sold for - so was actually a good deal for us in the end!

True Ross but it may be worth calling their bluff. With just their first offer submitted they should still be open to a bit of 'negotiation' I would've thought. Still early days IMO.
