I can only go on what I hear on the news so it's not official figures or anything- but I would say it's more house crime than cars. Having said that house break ins are more news worthy than cars.

More than happy to be corrected on that though.

I'm not sure if it's because houses are easier to break into here. The lack of double glazing has to make it easier for a start....

Thanks for the reply.

As I've said on a previous post it does worry me the layout of oz houses sometimes & been broken into with it all on one level and us having a baby daughter.......but then millions live in them so can't be all that bad, it's just a nagging in im head.

That sounds like bargain shopping! Are you staying in Mullaloo? Guess you have to be relatively close to Jonny's school. Happy days with the job situ, casual to build up, especially when you weren't quite feeling it sounds positive. Hope we can get jobs, we will be really happy! Its the main Arghhhh at the mo. I shall be listening in, keep us posted. Coffee catch up (though I prefer tea) when we arrive x

You got the job!!! Well done, wow, that is fantastic news. Tell more!

My two came back from school really tired. I offered the a trip to the beach but they declined, never done that before. Friends have been made already, one little girl has told my youngest that she loves him! these Ozzy girls are very forward!! The eldest who has already been to secondary school, also made friends but came back commenting on the differences in teaching and learning. Happy children who are ready to go back and do it all again tomorrow. Phew!

Mrs Poxon, once my baking stuff arrives in the container and we move into our rental I will be doing exactly the same as you. I love baking but I too love eating it as well. Not point baking a single cake in our house, gone before you know it!

I cant keep up ha ha... this is fabulous news that everything went well. Over the moon! I love reading that things are coming together for everyone. Its only a coupe of weeks until I arrive and relive all of these updates and I will be constantly re-reading for strength and inspiration. Gotta love PP ! X

what's the job and where Deb? good luck ? xx

Thanks! It's pretty much the job I do now and it's at Fiona Stanley hospital which is due to open in October. I spoke to the chief Pharmacist and he's OK with an August or even early September start for this role which is perfect. It's next to the uni campus in Murdoch so we could live in Fremantle which I wanted all along. It's almost too good to be true. There will be more vacancies there in the next few months for lower grade jobs so all is not lost if I don't get this one. It also occurred to me that if they hire someone experienced from another Perth hospital then that's another possible vacancy somewhere else :-D

Not necessarily. A lot of the services are scheduled to move lock stock to FSH and the original site downgraded so roles and complete services simply won't exist.

When do you start

I start in a couple of weeks. Some permanent hours so I get benefits of salary packaging and can make the rest of my hours up with casual shifts. It means that when jonny is off school I can do minimal hours but they only have to pay me minimal annual leave. Works well for them and me. Bonus.

Location of said Spud Shed by Travelchic please...

Hope you get the job Deb...

Will check in later for further developments :jiggy:

its in wanneroo. It was quite busy. You can get other stuff there like toiletries but didn't really look at those. I think the choice was quite limited for that sort of thing but you could get juice and all kinds of other stuff. There was fresh and frozen food too.

wishing I had never read the poms in oz thread for parents, at present they are saying not to do the pcc or medicals as stated on the checklist as it is now taking 22 months and will have to do again, once the CO appointed. As there is such a backlog and everyone is now applying for the 143, am i naive but wouldn't they have emailed to let this be known when 12 to 18 months was stated ? Plus was not aware you have to validate your visa 12 months from the pcc check not 12 months when the visa given.??

Best to get meat, fruit and veg from spudshed. Other things like toiletries tend to be more expensive so care is needed. The kids love fig rolls and they're only 99 cents
