Would not go with pickford again every box that was wrote on different things in each box.Stuff broke, cushions used to pad boxes not impressed.Could go on and on. Oh no Deb. That's not good news at all. We've also gone with them and I watched them doing exactly that...using cushions to save on packing materials. I stood over them and made them wrap everything in bubble wrap. I thought, it might be ok when you pack it but when it's handled again from the van into the container, then again into store, back into the container, inspected by customs, unloaded and checked and back into store, back into a lorry for delivery it'll have all shifted and the cushions wouldn't be of any use. I'd be left with a load of smashed vases. Trouble is I couldn't be watching over all of them as closely as I'd of liked as they went through the house like a whirlwind! I feel your pain! Just make sure you claim! Lou x

Glad that you have your things, sorry that you have had a bad experience! we had a similar problem with Pickfords, just about every piece of furniture we bought was damaged in some way or another, and some were missing, we claimed (we had separate insurance, not Pickfords) its not a quick process and takes forever. Also be sure to check your electrical goods and your policy, we found for example that we only had 3 days to inform them of any electrical claims that we intended to make, you also only have a relatively short time (maybe 7 days?) to let them know that you intend to claim in the first place, so if you want to claim at least email them and tell them that you will be making a claim with the details to follow. hope you manage to get it all sorted.
