Nikkis2000
I love it here and take the finding replacements in the shops as a bit of a challenge. However I have one burning question..... Is it possible to get a decent mayonnaise anywhere that doesn't taste like salad cream?!!!! I'll pay over 10 bucks if I have too!! moss2oz
Cumbria: My sister moved out to Perth over 20 years ago and initially lived in Rockingham. She now lives closer to Perth and remembers feeling extremely homesick. They actually moved back after 2 years but very quickly realised it was the 'idea' of home they missed. Once the initial excitement of being home and everyone fussing round them had gone they were left with the realisation that life really was better for their family back in Oz. They were back in Perth within 6 months and have never looked back. A part for the problem was that where they lived in Rockingham at the time had a huge British contingency and they would often hear negatives about how things weren't the same; the baked beans are different or the soap powder is not the same, etc,. Once you accept these small things and surround yourself with a positive outlook and build your social network I'm sure things will start to seem better. It will take time and it is perfectly normal to feel the way you are. Onwards and upwards. travelchic: Just want to say keep your chin up. Only a few days ago you were stressing about your house sale and now you are giving out valuable advice and support. You are a strong, independent woman and you are starting a new chapter and a brighter future for your son (that's what I keep telling myself).x mirrar.wall: I see you're from sunny Teesside too!
