Rossmoyne
There won't be too many safe and reliable cars around at that price. Bear in mind that there is no such thing as MOT in WA so if you do find something, get it checked out by a mechanic or the RAC.
Peata Whyted
I was looking on auto trader .au last night. Cars seem quite expensive on WA, but I would start there and see what is available.
Bibbs
Sorry to say but $2000 would only get you an average push bike. If you look at buying from a dealer, I'd recon you need at least $10k for something good from this side of the millenium.
portlaunay
Our hail damaged 4x4 was $2k. It's not pretty and rattles a bit but it only had 86k on the clock and for a ten year old car it was a bargain.
Nic964
have a look on Gumtree, there's loads in that price range. My Falcon complete with new tyres, service, brakes and Rego was less that $2K. Look for someone who is moving and make them an offer. For sure if you go down the autotrader or garage route then they are expensive, but there are plenty of deals. We've had ours 2 years now, and apart from an exhaust that all weve had to do. And we do use it, Wave rock and back in a day (over 700K). I drive an $800 Mazda B2600, that has moved house, and picked up so much free stuff its paid for itself many times over. Keep looking http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bayswater/cars-vans-utes/1996-holden-commodore-sedan-free12-months-warranty-/1039576978 $2k with warrenty.
