Here is my effort, using Peas recipe. It was yummy, even with the faulty scales and/or operator error that made it a touch on the dry side

i am not worthy...of either yours or beans efforts....I feel totally inadequate, but that's another story..ha! ..:)

HLV I know what you mean with the slight dryness, I put extra sour cream in and sometimes mix in some choc chips..naughty but nice!

I think a PP Pudding Club, first Friday of the month in Winter maybe....!

I'm sure you are more than worthy Pea, it was so easy to make and decorate, sticking stuff all over it meant I didn't need to be neat with the icing, bonus! The big shame was that I had to buys loads and loads of smarties so that I had enough of each colour, then there were heaps left over and I didn't know what to do with them, so I had to eat them. The sacrifices we must make for our children

Coffee and walnut, my favourite miamai, looks delicious!

My kids want me to bake fairy cakes for the whole year group this week as it's their last week at school before we move to Oz.

That's over 225 cakes as I have three children! I've managed to negotiate with them to just do their classes but that's still 80 cakes!!!

I'm also determined to use up all the ingredients in my cupboard so will have to make a Bakewell tart and something to use up a massive bag of almonds.

Hi Lou, when I have had to make lots of cupcakes, I have made mini ones, you can get the mini cupcakes wrappers and baking tray, then decorate with small marshmallows or smarties ( always good to keep the teachers on their toes with hyper smartie filled kiddies...:)). Bakewell is always good, you could make a pear and almond meal tart too, using the same technique making a frangipan but lay pear halves or quarters drained from a tin, in the frangipan with a pastry base...
