verystormy
Is this true? My agent is aiming for 190 visa,I will have no such job offer as I will have to re-sit some exams to prove I have a licence (Arctik etc) So I can not be offered a job until I have these??????  only if WA has it listed as schedule 2 of their list. If it's just ordinary on the WA list then no, you don't need a job offer.
7cdb
Wrong way round. A 189 is unsponsored. A 190 is state sponsored. Â So do I need a confirmed job offer on a 190 visa then?
fiana
So do I need a confirmed job offer on a 190 visa then?   Hi 7cdb,  You need a confirmed job offer for a 190 visa if your job is listed in Schedule 2. List of jobs & their respective Schedules are here: http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/skilledmigration/Pages/Occupationsindemand.aspx  Other Additional criteria you have to meet are found here: http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/SiteCollectionDocuments/2013-14%20State%20nomination%20criteria.pdf  More info on 190 Visa for WA is here: http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/skilledmigration/Pages/HowtoapplyforStateSponsorship.aspx   Hope it helps

JasonM
We are on Schedule 1 so don’t think it affects us. Bridges has only just gone out and her OH didn’t have a job / contract, unless they got their visa before the changes, as you say would be pretty much impossible to get a job before we go as the do not recognise our qualifications. I have sent my CV offf to loads of companies and only 1 has come back and they said come and see them when we are out in WA
Guest HannahS
Hi, Â Thanks for your message. I understand that I would be under pressure to get a job offer quickly though I'm already applying for a few things at the moment just in case I can get nominated for a 186/7 and don't need to wait to be state nominated. The list changes on the 1st July and I didn't think it was worth the risk of waiting in case it disappears off the list anyway and I won't have had a chance at all! Â Here's hoping!! verystormy
Hannah. Looking at your timeline, I think you have some confusion about the visas. I suggest you speak to a good agent such as go Matilda.
