As we have a number of people recently arrived or about to arrive in Mandurah as well as a lot of us living in that part of the world, i was wondering if any would like a meet up in May? At the moment i am thinking about saturday 31st?

Can non-Mandurah folk join in? We'd like an opportunity to come down and explore that part of town, we've only been a couple of times and it would be nice to touch base with some Mandy types.

I know Porty you despair sometimes....

I love your commitment and enthusiasm, it's really great to see you shouting about something positive. Dome may not be my thing but I'd certainly trek to yours to sample your best. (Double shot, dash of hot water, half teaspoon of honey please ) Butler is it?

Seriously, yours has to be one of the most inspirational stories on here; epic journey to get here and you really grabbed the bull by the horns. Hats off to you mate, I've nothing but admiration for you.

I hope non-Mandurahians are welcome. We are in Mandurah every other week anyway. Lovely place. Nearly bought a block of land at Seascapes in Halls Head bu decided it was just a bit too far from Perth for work.

I truly appreciate the kind sentiment Porty (even though I know you don't really go for Dome Cafés in general) and a double strength Long Black with honey will be a breeze (once I've done my barista training) Thanks.

Of course non Mandurah can come - Just thought a meet in Mandurah might be nice - take some pics for those yet to arrive as well.

I am thinking maybe somewhere on the foreshore, though outdoors might be a mite iffy in case of rain. Suggestions? I was thinking maybe M on the Point?

Once the house is finished - probably January - i am thinking a house warming might be in order as well!

No worries there Stu, rather partial to a pedal myself; the cycle path to Hillarys is a fab route, done it many times.

But if your sure you want to be badgered by me then I will have to seriously think up something to badger you with

Oh Elfie brilliant news.

So are you getting the same breed, or something different. Pics please when available. I'm literally counting down the time to when we find our house so that we can go and pick our one out.

Hi SJT

Yes the same breed a Rottweiler is the only one for us not a lover of little yappy dogs - sorry to those who have them. We are have been very fortunate in one way through a very sad time. The breeder who we had Teddy from - we have been in contact for weeks - he contacted us after Teddy died and made us an offer of a life time. He has ever so kindly offered us the pick of his female pups from his next litter due 1st week of May - no charge or strings attached. After a lot of thinking as we didn't want a pup both John and I caved in, mostly due to his persistence. Plus the fact the statement "if you fall off the horse you just got to get back on and ride it" with a bit of swearing as well. Which describes us both very well. So now I am busy reading up on puppy rearing as it has been a long long time. This fantastic gorgeous generous kind man is even letting us pick the pedigree name. Which will be Welsh already chosen it and its within the regulations letter wise. So her registered pedigree name is Dansval Cariad Cymraeg Bryn Glas that means Welsh sweetheart from the blue hill - Dansval - kennel breeder Cariad - sweetheart Cymraeg - welsh Bryn - hill Glas - blue. Bryn Glas is the name of our house back in Wales as in the spring the hill its on is covered in bluebells.

What dog are you after SJT? If you want a Rottweiler I know an excellent breeder :cute:

Elife that is lovely, and such a generous gift. I'm sure you will be fine going back to puppy rearing, and make her even more special for you both.

We are getting a cavoodle, I've never owned a dog, so wanted something that I could handle, we will also be getting a kitten at the same time, so interesting times ahead for us both.
